The composition of the Paralympic team has been confirmed
Yesterday, the executive committee of the Russian Paralympic Committee, chaired by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Lukin, approved the composition of the country's national team, which will take part in the Winter Paralympic Games in Turin. The Russian team, whose general sponsor is RAO UES, will send 29 athletes to Italy: 23 of them will take part in cross-country skiing and biathlon competitions, and six in alpine skiing disciplines. The official farewell ceremony for the Russian Paralympic team will take place on February 21, and the Games themselves will start on March 10.
In total, the Russian delegation, headed by Vladimir Lukin, will include 76 people. “In addition to the athletes, this will include doctors, scientific and transport groups, a technical support group, and for the first time, all our blind athletes received leaders and guides to help them along the route,” the chief of the Russian mission at Paralympic Games Pavel Rozhkov.
