The renovation of the building was carried out by the Novosibirsk company Success LLC . She got the object through a competition in which “ Success ” reduced the price from 40 million rubles to 39. Having received more than 23 million rubles, the construction company closed, leaving the facility in a state of repair. As the new director of boarding school No. 33, Igor Fillipov, explained, by law they could file claims against the contractor for poor-quality repairs, but since the company liquidated itself, there is no one to file claims against .

After this, a new competition was announced to complete the renovation. Another 16 million rubles were allocated for these purposes. According to the contract, the contractor must complete the repairs by the end of the year, but another problem arose - the roof was leaking.

" In an amicable way, the contractor had to come and see what he was going to do here. In turn, rumors have already spread among the parents of boarding school students that the boarding school building may be taken away from their children.

The building itself could be taken away, ” Tomsk resident Yuri Yakimov, whose son studied at boarding school No. 33, told the “ Rush Hour ” reporters.

During the renovation, the boarding school students were distributed to other institutions, not all of which are suitable for teaching blind and visually impaired children. The next deadline for completing the school's overhaul is mid- December this year.
