Sberbank Vice-President Sergei Ivanov, the son of the ex-head of the presidential administration, can lead the Alrosa diamond company, says Bloomberg , citing sources familiar with the situation. The company representative calls information about the upcoming resignation of the current president Andrei Zhakhov by rumors. However, Interfax indicates that he had disagreements with federal level officials.
According to Bloomberg, the final decision has not yet been made, but at the moment Ivanov Jr. is the only candidacy for consideration for the presidency. Zharkov, according to the sources of the agency, spread out with officials in views on the development paths of the company.
The representative of "Alrosa" on Friday called information about the resignation of Zharkov rumors. The spokesman for the vice-premier of the Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev did not confirm, but did not refute the possibility of changing the head of the company. RBC was associated with a representative of Sberbank, where Ivanov now works, but they refused to comment.
Interfax in this regard recalls the differences of Zharkov with officials, primarily with the Ministry of Finance, the head of which Anton Silualov heads the Supervisory Board of Alrosa. Zharkov, as a member of the Supervisory Board, voted in December last year against adjusting the budget of the company, which provides for a reduction in long -term finals. At the same time, the head of "Alrosa" also acts as a state department, and most of his colleagues supported the adjustment.
Alrosa is the largest world manufacturer of diamond raw materials in carats. Alrosa revenue, according to preliminary data from the company, in 2016 increased by 26%, to $ 4.486 billion. The largest shareholders are the Russian Federation represented by the Federal State Property Management Agency (33%) and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) - 25%.
Zharkov before arriving in the Almas company was the deputy head of Gokhran (since 2010). He worked in the Central Bank of Nornikel, EN+structures.
