Deputy Mayor Vladimir Khan and the management of Spetsavtohozyaystvo, together with journalists, went out on a night raid and checked how the streets were being cleaned. Representatives of the mayor's office and SAKh assured that this year the city is clearing snow much better than in previous years. However, cleaning is hampered by cars parked along the streets.

The head of SAKh, Boris Sukhushin, explained to Rush Hour correspondents that most of the company’s equipment and employees go out to clean at night. So, at night from Thursday to Friday, 82 units of equipment went out for cleaning, and about 60 units were planned to be removed during the day. According to him, street cleaning is carried out according to a specific plan: the SAH cannot clean all the streets of Tomsk at the same time.

“If there is ice, then we sprinkle sand on the entire city. But we can’t remove snow from all the streets. This requires 10 times more equipment. First of all, we clean difficult places where it is narrow, for example. As my acquaintances and friends tell me, the city began to be cleaned better over the course of the year,” said Boris Sukhushin.

In turn, Vladimir Khan noted that cleaning the streets is significantly hampered by parked cars. At the same time, according to him, the city administration and the SAKh leadership regularly go on night raids. This week alone, the company's work was checked four times.

“Many areas would be cleaned up many times better if it weren’t for parked cars. This is our constant scourge. The easiest thing is to say that nothing is being done, they say, officials tear some seats out of the chairs and go out into the street. Demands have increased tenfold. Either people got the opportunity to travel abroad and compare. But it is difficult to compare the budgets of Vienna and the city of Tomsk. They spend much more money on cleaning,” said the deputy mayor.

Let’s add that this year “Spetsavtokhozyaistvo” received new equipment at the expense of the budget. As previously reported, an additional 42 units of equipment cost the city and region 166 million rubles . According to Vladimir Khan, these measures made it possible to fill the gap in the technical equipment of the enterprise. Without this technology, the city would not have been able to cope with heavy rainfall.

On this day, more than 250 accidents occurred in Tomsk due to icy conditions. Even the car of the governor of the Tomsk region was involved in two traffic accidents. As a result of a special inspection , Deputy Mayor Vladimir Khan and the leadership of SAKh received reprimands for not organizing the sprinkling of the streets with a sand-salt mixture on time.
