The commercial series "Golden League" consists of six stages. Test disciplines: men - 100 m, 400 m, 3000/5000 m, 110 m s/b, javelin; women - 100 m, 400 m, 100 m s/b, height, pole. Athletes who win all starts in their events are eligible to share the $1 million jackpot. If there are none, athletes who win five events can count on a corresponding share of half the jackpot.

Our country is also represented by Alexander Kolobnev (Saxo-Bank) and Vladimir Efimkin (AG2R). The main contenders for victory in the overall standings are the Spaniards Alejandro Valverde and Alberto Contador, and the Australian Cadel Evans. The 4th stage, scheduled for June 10, is a 42 km time trial race. The stage race finishes in Grenoble.
