In my opinion, one of the important steps of the protest movement in Russia should be the nomination of a citizen candidate for the post of President of Russia.
I described this idea of a president-for-a-day in detail, but I will repeat only the key points. This candidate should have only one point in his program: hold free elections and, after they are held, immediately transfer power to the elected deputies and the president.
Personally, I think Alexei Navalny is the best candidate. It was through his efforts that many people were able to unite in the fight against swindlers and thieves. However, it was rightly pointed out to me that Alexey would be an ideal candidate for a longer period than just a few days. Therefore, if, for example, he does not want to be such a candidate, the optimal person is that one. who definitely doesn't plan to be president. For example, Shevchuk (of course, with the help of various political and civil forces). Perhaps Chirikova. In fact, specific names are not that important. It is important that time flies. The official deadline for nominating such a candidate is already running out. And it may even be that, theoretically, we all may not have such a common candidate.
A common candidate for one day is a battering ram that could crush all this madness of administrative barriers to register candidates.
What is the mechanism for restoring elections in my opinion?
1. Nomination of a single candidate-for-one-day
2. Victory in elections
3. In a month - a referendum on the abolition of amendments to the Constitution and laws on the registration of parties, candidates, etc. that restrict the rights of citizens.
4. Registration of independent candidates.
5. In the second month of the presidency - free elections
6. Transfer of power to a president elected in free elections.
The path is peaceful, understandable, clear.
Today we can defend millions of signatures for a one-day candidate. And we will be able to defend all the votes cast for him. And the campaign itself could turn into an all-Russian protest against the power of swindlers and thieves.
But time is running out, friends! What do you think?
