Another 2 months of arrest...

The Kirovsky District Court of Tomsk on Thursday extended for another two months - until the end of February 2013 - the period of detention of the former head of the Tomsk Kontur plant, Igor Itkin. He is accused of abuse of power. A lot is intertwined in the case of Igor Itkin - here is the fate of a seemingly successful man who came from science to business back in the 90s. Then, at the beginning of the 2000s, he was called by the authorities from private business to a state defense enterprise and, it seemed, became the flagship of the then fashionable public-private partnership. His own enterprise, STEK, was often cited as an example of an innovative business. And now the arrest. There were so many powerful assurances and promises that we would not be jailed for economic matters during the investigation. There are such measures as a written undertaking not to leave the place, or house arrest, which were applied in the past year to a well-known person involved in the so-called defense case. But in Itkin's story, everything unfolds in a completely different scenario.
