The identity of the deceased student has been established

The body of a young man found in the morning belongs to a 1st year student at the Faculty of Philosophy of TSU. Valery Gorbachenko, head of the Tomsk investigative department of the Investigative Committee at the Prosecutor's Office, told MediaFM about this.

According to him, an 18-year-old student came to study in our city from Kemerovo. He did not live in a hostel, but rented a room in one of the city apartments.

Valery Gorbachenko noted that the young man received injuries in the head area. Investigators are now considering two versions of what happened. Either the guy fell from the balcony, or he received fatal injuries as a result of violent actions.

An autopsy will be performed today. Based on its results, the issue of initiating a criminal case will be decided.
