Look at me recalls the main lines of the Japanese brand
The number produced by the Comme des Garçons fashion house (the founder and main designer of which is Rey Cavakubo) of the lines of clothing, accessories and perfume is comparable to the activities of a dozen fashion marks combined.
Since the creation in the early 1970s, Comme des Garçons launched about twenty clothing lines, not counting collaborations with such diverse brands as J.Crew, Fred Perry, H&M , Louis Vuitton , or Monocle magazine and the creators of sympsons. Some lines can probably be distinguished from each other, only two: Kawakubo herself and another brand designer, Japanese Junny Vatanabe , who came to the Comme des Garçons in 1984. In addition to Kawakubo and Vatanabe, who are responsible for female and male lines, respectively, the third designer of the brand is Tao Kurikhara, who creates knitted clothes within the framework of its own Tricot line.
Unlike the Maison Martin Margiela brand, the Comme des Garçons does not adhere to the concept of “one store - one line”. This means that you can find all lines not only in the London Dover Street Market , but also in many multibrands.

The very first and main women's line created by Rei Kawakubo in 1973 became programmatic for the new avant -garde brand. In 1981, the first show of the Comme des Garçons collection was held as part of the Paris Fashion Week, and the next year, the brand was accepted into high fashion syndicate. In 1987, the Comme des Garçons Noir line appeared-another female line, the design of which is created by Rei Kawakubo. The name speaks for itself: things from monochrome collections of Noir are mostly black.

One of the most famous lines of the brand is the line of street youth clothing. A recognizable logo in the form of a glare heart created the New York schedule Philip Pagovsky. In some stores (for example, in a monobrand that opened in 2010 in Seoul) departments where clothes, shoes, accessories and perfume from this line are sold, are called Play Box and are arranged in the form of huge glass boxes.

The first male line, the design of which from the moment of creation in 1978 was engaged in Rei Kawakubo. Then she was replaced by Dziunya Vatanabe. The Japanese designer, who once came to practice at Comme des Garçons, worked there for ten years, before he began to produce clothes under his own name.

Until 1984, Rei Kawakubo was mainly engaged in women's clothing and accessories, but then launched the men's line of her own design, which received the Plus addition to the existing Vatanabe line. Since then, the line has been supplemented with things from Comme des Garçons Homme Plus Sport (parallel sports line) and Comme des Garçons Homme Plus Evergreen, produced by the line of rethought objects from past collections.
The second men's line Comme des Garçons Homme Deux has been led by Rey Kawakubo since 1987. Its difference from the first is in the concept: Homme Deux clothing is more and official.

The shirt as one of the most important items of the wardrobe of Rey Cavakubo has always paid great attention. Therefore, in the late 80s, the SHIRT line was launched, the main object of which are peas, stripes and with all kinds of prints.

In 1992, Dziunya Vatanabe began to create clothes under his own name, although in the framework of the brand of Somme des Garçons. The first line on which he began work is parallel to the main female collection of Kawakubo. Since 1993, the shows of new collections of this line have been held as part of the fashion week in Paris.

The development of the Tricot knitted line, which was previously led by Vatanabe, is now being engaged in Tao Kurikhara, his former assistant. To work on Tricot, Kurikhara abandoned her own line, which also included women's clothing and accessories.
Of all Comme des Garçons, only three production was stopped: Comme des Garçons Robe de Chambre and Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons Man Pink (both lines were focused on women's clothing and developed Vatanabe), as well as the women's line of Tao Comme Des Garçons under the leadership of Tao Kurikhara. In addition, the brand had a temporary democratic line of men's and women's clothing Black, which was sold in the same name pop-up stakes.
Since 1994, a series of aromas, for example, Dover Street Market or created in collaboration with Daphne Guinnesses, has been released under the name of brands. In 2004, Comme des Garçons created a line of wallets and jewelry.
