EXHIBITIONS
"Moscow International Forum of Artistic Initiatives". The forum presents several exhibitions: “Paradise”, “To the Resort! Art of Russia today" and "Above/Under". The first exhibition presents projects “Sky” by Tatyana Chirikova, Tatyana Minsafina, Elena Shlienkova (Togliatti); "Wing" by Tatyana Badanina; "reliefs" by Ekaterina Kornilova; many sculpted lion faces, intensely breaking through the walls, by Vladimir Brainin; small still lifes by Alexander Lifshits and other works. Exhibition “To the Resort!” collected works by about thirty artists: in particular, this is “Rock Video” by Viktor Alimpiev and Sergei Vishnevsky, the installation “Magic Mirror” by Sergei Shutov, the installation “Baden-Baden 2” by Sergei “Africa” Bugaev. The exhibition “Above/Under” at the club “PiROGI on Nikolskaya” continues the series of projects “Paradise/Paradise” in unexpected spaces - dungeons, bunkers, cellars - which began with the exhibition Paradise in a bunker near Alexanderplatz in Berlin. “New Manege”, “Pies on Nikolskaya” and on Bolshaya Dmitrovka , until August 8.
"Russian Society of Book Friends". The exhibition is dedicated to one of the most interesting phenomena in the cultural life of Russia in the 1920s. Among the founders of the society were such prominent cultural figures as I.E. Grabar, A.M. Efros, A.V. Chayanov, G.G. Shpet. The first part of the exhibition includes portraits of ROC figures and bookplates. The second part is the so-called “circumstantial graphics” (menus, congratulations, invitations) and “memorable graphics” (agendas, evening programs, etc.). In addition, watercolors and engravings made in the 1920s by artists who participated in the life of the Russian Orthodox Church are presented. Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val , until October 30.
“Returned name. Pavel Golubyatnikov." An exhibition of works by one of K.S.’s favorite students. Petrov-Vodkin, a representative of the “moderate avant-garde of the 1920s-1930s” in Russian art. The family of the artist, who died in besieged Leningrad, did not even unroll the roll of his canvases taken from Leningrad to the Urals until the mid-70s, and only a few years ago, thanks to the work of museum workers, it became possible to exhibit his paintings.
