Tuck & Patti (USA). On July 21-23, festive concerts will take place in honor of the fifth anniversary of Le Club, the main jazz venue in Russia. On these three nights, the club will feature the American duo Tuck Andress (acoustic guitar) and Patti Cathcart (vocals). Both jazz musicians played in different ensembles and recorded records until they met. This meeting, according to both, turned their lives around, because they found in each other what they wanted to do in music. Only with the help of their voice and guitar, musicians are able to get the audience going right away, and at the same time record excellent jazz and rhythm and blues records. "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" (USA, 1952). Directed by Henry King. Starring Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, Susan Hayward. An adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's story of the same name. While traveling through Africa, the hero of the film, a famous writer, takes stock of his life. "Falcons" (Iceland, 2002). Directed by Fridrik Thor Fridriksson. Starring Keith Carradine, Rafi Guessus, Margret Vilhjalmsdottir. Simon returns from an American prison to his native Iceland. He helps the girl Duya avoid problems with the police. Together they move to Hamburg, where they plan to sell the falcon for big money. "New Composers". One of the main Russian electronic groups. It was “Composers” who started the fashion for using Russian-language samples from Soviet films. Jay Jay Johanson (Sweden). Johansson sings sad lyrics in a soulfully detached voice to sometimes very beautiful melodies to a trip-hop rhythm. In Moscow, they will install a two-by-three-meter digital screen with steps for him, and Johansson will walk along them and sing: he is not bringing any guitars or synthesizers to us. Paprika Korps (Poland). A reggae band that defines its style as heavy reggae. Over the course of several years, the group managed to perform at all the largest reggae festivals in Eastern Europe, and last year, at the invitation of Jah Division, they performed in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Mom scatters sand on plates, dad bales his son, and the son promises to set everyone on fire and torments the Dog - a girl with a noose around her neck who is silent all the time. When this girl speaks in the finale, it turns out that she also promised to burn everyone - and she kept her promise, so now she has neither a mother nor a father.
