Ekta, aka Daniel Götesson (Daniel Götesson) is an artist and illustrator from Gooteborg, a city in the southwest of Sweden.
Daniel, on the account of more than a hundred different illustrations and paintings, a frequent participant in famous exhibitions and events, both in Sweden and beyond. Few people know how to put a huge semantic load in such seemingly simple images. The key elements of all his works are the magnificent use of color and brightly exposed geometric shapes.

Daniel was born in 1978 in Gooteborg. At the age of 18, he and his friend moved to London and graduated from one of the largest art colleges in London - the London College of Press and Communications. However, financial difficulties forced him to return back to Gooteborg.

Oddly enough, the craving for art appeared because of the love of skateboarding. The origin of the pseudonym Ekta is explained by Daniel of close interconnection with graffiti. Despite the fact that Getesson himself does not consider himself part of this scene, according to his work, one can trace the undoubted sympathy for this type of art.

Daniel does not represent many of his works in his head, before he begins to execute them. He claims that it would be deadly boring to have an idea in his head and realize it according to some plan. In his opinion, this approach is not applicable to art.

To write its paintings, EKTA uses acrylic paints and spray, and prefers to draw drawings with pencils. It is always focused on neat and clean lines and tries to use the maximum number of geometric shapes, while showing an amazing sense of proportion.

EKTA was influenced by people such as Mark Gonzales and Neil Blender. As Daniel himself explains, that is why he likes to draw on the outer walls and streets. He likes when people stop looking at what he does in real time.

Like many artists and illustrators, Daniel quickly loses interest in real work and he is always interested in the following. He also loves joint projects, which allows him to relax more and enjoy the exchange of experience.
Ekta is not interested in glory. He believes that people's interest in art and glory are two different things. We hope that his point of view will not change, and Daniel himself is preparing for a new large -scale project: a huge drawing on the wall in Poland.
