Adolf Jean - Mar Muron (Adolphe Mouron), better known as A.M. Cassandre (Am Cassandre - January 24, 1901 - June 17, 1968) painter, lithograph, master of advertising posters and font designer. Born in Kharkov. In his youth he moves to Paris, where he studies at the school of elegant arts école des Beaux-Arts and Académie Julian. Collaborates with Parisian Printing House. Inspired by cubism and surrealism, earns a reputation by work, such as bûcheron (WoodCutter/Lesruk - 1923) 
. This poster received the first award in 1925 at the international exhibition Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (international exhibition of modern decorative and industrial arts). This exhibition was the reason for the occurrence of the term “Ar-Deco”. At this exhibition, the world of French -made luxury items were shown, proving that Paris remained an international style center and after the First World War. Together with partners, the Alliance Graphique advertising agency opens its own advertising agency. The work for the Dubonnet wine company were among the first posters developed in the manner, which allowed them to be seen by passengers of rapid vehicles. 
He teaches graphic design in école des arts décratifs and then in école d'art graphique. An important part of the design of the posters is associated with typography, so Cassandr creates several new font styles: Bifur in 1929, Acier Noir in 1935, and in 1937 - the Peignot font. In 1936, his works were shown at the Museum of Contemporary Art in New York as part of the Harper's Bazaar presentation. 
Since the beginning of World War II, Cassandre has been served in the French army until France. At this time, work in the agency is folding, he survived, creating the scenery, props and costumes for the theater, he sometimes did this in the 1930s. After the war, he continued this direction of work, sometimes returning to painting.
In 1963, the world-famous Yves Saint-Laurent logo creates. 

















In 1968, the depression leads A. M. Cassandra to suicide in Paris.
