Have you received a postcard for a long time? By mail, and so as not to Christmas? And so that from a stranger from the other end of the world?

My first postcard got from Kiev to Espoo (Finland) in 13 days, flying 1150 km . Four other postcards are now on the way to Germany, the USA, China and Greece. Who are these postcards? Absolutely unfamiliar to me, participants in the Postcrossing project. The purpose of the project is simple to disgrace: “SEND A PostCard and Receive A Postcard Back from A Random Person Somewhere in the World!”

At the software level, this is realized as follows: after registering on the project website, you get from 1 to 5 addresses (you decide how many postcards you want to send) and send your postcards for them. The main condition: do not forget to your short message attribute to the ID of the departure, which is appointed individually by each postcard. Having made a request to the address, you get an IWIL, and it has direct mail data in it and most often his short description of yourself - who is, age, kind of activity, so that you can guess if possible when choosing a postcard, such a person will like it or not.

As soon as your postcard got to the addressee, he registers it on the site on ID and, if desired, scans it and places it in the gallery of its received postcards.

In fact, this is a decoration of the joyless daily maintenance of a mailbox, which gives me exclusively accounts and rare advertising. Typically, postcards crawl into my life a week before Catholic Christmas - you need to congratulate all their Germans, then cross the threshold of the New Year and come to naught by January 7th. Now there was a chance to start “dating by correspondence”, as in the days of all -Soviet childhood, or simply bring the joy of the received postcard into everyday life.

I urge everyone and everyone not only to participate in postcrossing, to send the heels of the cards to strangers, but also to remember people of completely acquaintances, but forgotten. How long did they not know the joy of getting a postcard from you? Based on such thoughts, my next postcards flew to the familiar addresses to Lithuania, Germany, Estonia, Serbia and even Samara ;-)

This is not to you to be friends in ICQ.
