Residents of Kolpashev saw King Kong

A life-size puppet of a famous character from science fiction films took part in the annual carnival, which was held in Kolpashevo as part of Youth Day.

As Anna Shlyapina, a leading specialist in youth work with the administration of the Kolpashevo urban settlement, told the TV2 news agency, King Kong was presented by a team participating in the carnival, which chose the theme of the jungle.

“For the first time, life-size puppets, so popular in carnivals all over the world, including in Rio de Janeiro, appeared in our carnival. King Kong , which the participants made, moved his head and paws,” added Anna Shlyapina .

Teams from Kolpashevo enterprises and cultural institutions took part in the carnival. 9 teams were announced, about 500 people in total. As Anna Shlyapina explained, Kolpashevo residents willingly take part in the holiday in entire groups. Some teams numbered up to 150 people.
