Russian clubs have completed their summer holidays
Football returns to Russia. The Premier League championship resumes this coming weekend, the leaders of which did not make any sudden movements during the summer holidays associated with Euro 2008. The wind of change has affected mainly outsiders, but in the 12th round they will not be able to use the services of invited players: the pre-registration period in Russia opens only on July 7.
Only three clubs decided to make drastic changes in management: “Tom” parted ways with Valery Petrakov, not without a scandal, whose place at the head of the coaching staff was taken by debutant Miroslav Romashchenko, “Terek” was headed by a Ukrainian specialist with the thematic surname Vyacheslav Grozny, and “Khimki” was pulled out of the basement of the standings is now entrusted to Sergei Yuran.
All three, associated with Spartak at different times in their careers, immediately began strengthening the squad. But so far only Yuran can demonstrate the real results of breeding work. Thanks to the connections of their new head coach, Khimki leased midfielders Renat Sabitov, Oleg Dineev and defender Fedor Kudryashov from Spartak. Also, the Romanian Florian Shoava was acquired from the “red-whites”, and striker Martin Jakubko was borrowed from Saturn for six months.
“Tom” had less significant success in the transfer market: Roman Kontsedalov was also taken on loan, now from Lokomotiv, but Strelkov and Bugaev left the team. “Terek” has so far managed without replenishment, although active negotiations are underway with the club from Grozny.
Of all the clubs that are now in the danger zone, Lucha-Energia has the most unenviable position. In Vladivostok they are not yet sure that cooperation with the general sponsor, the Far Eastern Energy Company, will continue, and a mass exodus of players has begun from the club. Even Alexander Tikhonovetsky left Luch, and now the team, having not yet managed to register Balkan newcomers, is experiencing difficulties in choosing the main squad for the upcoming match with Khimki.
But in June, a number of announced coaching changes did not take place. Valery Gazzaev, for example, remained at the helm of CSKA, although he lost Jo, who was nevertheless sold to Manchester City. It is likely that one of the other players from the main squad will leave the army team - Yuri Zhirkov, for example, has several offers. In return, CSKA scouts are looking for young, talented and already somewhat famous foreign players, although they have not yet made any high-profile acquisitions.
Of the leading clubs, few have decided to take drastic steps in the transfer market. Unless Rubin agreed right at the European Championship on the transfer of Russian national team player Roman Adamov. So now there are already three Euro bronze medalists in Kazan - in addition to the ex-Moscow forward, this is also Sergei Semak and the Turk Karadeniz. There may be even more of them in the near future: Rubin is negotiating with four more players from the Turkish national team.
Spartak has not yet found any reinforcements before the start of the Champions League, and Amkar, which is third in the championship, has completely lost one of its leaders - the goalkeeper of the Russian national team, Vladimir Gabulov, has moved to Dynamo Moscow. Of the clubs from which we can expect a rise, Moscow is the most active so far. Oleg Blokhin, it seems, has waited for financial injections from the club's owners and has already acquired Turkish defender Turaji, striker Strelkov, as well as Vukic from Shakhtar and Riccardo from Nalchik. But it seems that he has finally lost the Argentinean Barrientos, who, having finally fallen out with the coaches, is strenuously seeking a sale to another club.
“Moscow” is lucky - Blokhin can use all his newcomers already in the 12th round match with “Saturn”, which will take place only on Wednesday. The game has been postponed, as Gadzhi Gadzhiev’s team will make its debut in the Intertoto Cup - on July 5, the “aliens” will play the first match with the Luxembourg club “Etzella”. If Saturn passes this barrier, then in the third round of the tournament it will face the German Stuttgart.
