Edison Gem
Label Vibez released its third compilation of the best works for 2007, including, also, unrelated items on the 2nd disk, the Subject 13 reduced with the participation of MC System.
Particular attention was attracted by the team from the USA called Edison Gem, which consists of two people - the producer of John O'Brien and the talented vocalist Riana Riggs.
Very beautiful music, filled with an atmosphere of calm and abstractness from the environment, is inspired, in their own words, such musicians and teams as Portishead, Zero 7, Thief Corporation, Kruder & Dorfmeist, Ltj Bukem, EVERYTHING BUT THE GIRL, Massive Attack, Royksopp. The combination of such ideas with Drum and Bass sounds very cool and interesting.
Soon an album is expected from them, on which, in addition to Drum and Bass, things will be present in the style of Indie and Downtempo.
Some work can be named on their page on Myspace network
And previews on tracks from the mix ...
... and with another compilation of The Journey from Label Vibration
