Maria still remembers the night when she woke up because her daughter Vasilisa "screams with an animal cry." After that, the cornflower left. And now - returns
Help I believe in a miracle helpUp to two and a half years, Vasilisa was sick twice - so, SARVI, it's okay. Then she went to kindergarten, where she began a runny nose - also nothing serious. At the weekend, I sat at home, on Monday returned to the garden. The day when her life has changed, Maria remembers now: “On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, they called me from the kindergarten and asked to take Vasilisa: she had a temperature.”

The temperature is above 39 ° C - and no signs of colds. The heat did not fall, and on the night of June 18 to June, Maria called an ambulance. In the children's regional hospital in Kaliningrad, Vasilisa was given a dropper with saline and diagnosis - acute appendicitis.
Vasilisa and her mother Maria photo: Oksana Yushko for TDMaria recalls that the next night she woke up in the ward because Vasilisa "screaming an animal cry." “I don't know how to explain it. But people in a vegetative state make unnatural sounds. A healthy person is not capable of such, - Masha tries to choose the words. - Vasilisa left for coma. All".
Not “fell”, but “left” - it is this word that Maria repeats. It was as if her cornflower she went to the next room and was about to return. But in fact, this is a coma of the second degree (four of them) - a deep dream almost without reactions to what is happening around. The girl slept and woke up, motor reflexes were preserved, but there was no consciousness in the usual sense.

So three weeks passed. During this time, Vasilisa and her mother were sent from the regional hospital to infectious, examined, again returned to the regional. Suspicions of appendicitis were removed and the final diagnosis was made - acute viral meningoencephalitis of mixed etiology (caused by cytomegalovirus, Epstein - Barra virus). Later, the immunologist will look at the patient’s tests and say that when admitting it was clear what was the matter, and if Vasilisa had immediately prescribed the correct treatment, everything could have been different.
The name "cytomegalovirus" sounds like the name of the enemy of some superhero from the comic book. In fact, this is a fifth -type human herpes virus. Epstein's virus - Barra is the same herpes, only the fourth type. Almost all people have these viruses. And almost all are not capable of more than a sore on the lip. But the point, as luck would have it, in this treacherous “almost”.

For cornflowers, viruses became dangerous enemies.
In the coma, Vasilisa began spastic muscle contractions. The legs were tense and extended all the time, and the pens, on the contrary, were bent at the elbows and pressed to the chest.
The girl screamed in pain-because of the screams, the lower jaw “fell”. Doctors inserted the dislocated jaw into place and, according to Maria, bandaged the bandage. During the time spent in a coma, the jaw “fell out” four more times until they made a special bandage, an orthosis.
Vasilisa for a walk with her mother and grandmothers photo: Oksana Yushko for TDAfter treatment, Vasilis was discharged from the hospital - September 11, 2015, Maria recalls. Vasilek returned - not to mom, but at least home. “She did not move. I did nothing at all. Open eyes and an empty look. A probes sticks out of the nose. Through him, I introduced Vasilisa children's mashed potatoes. ” Three days later, Vasilisa began to raise her head. And a week later she pulled out the probe and began to eat it.
In St. Petersburg in the children's scientific and clinical center of infectious diseases, Vasilisa helped to sit down. But when the department moves from one building to another direction of Vasilisa, the encephalogram was lost. The examination was necessary to determine epilepsy - or not. While preparing a new direction, Vasilisa made electrophoresis for a week and pricked antipsychotics, but it soon became clear that this could not be done: the girl has epilepsy.
“Vasilka does not have the same attacks as shown in the cinema. Without foam, without twitching arms and legs. She simply loses consciousness and after ten seconds - a maximum of a minute and a half returns. ”
When the baby froze (the gaze, speech, movements stopped) in the presence of doctors, they said: "This is probably the reaction of the brain to an unusual environment."
Now the girl takes five different medicines for epilepsy, but still freezes every day several times. “Epileptologists do not know what to do with us. This is my unique child. If you trace the entire chain of events, it turns out not just a series of failures, but hellish hell. ”
“ For the first one and a half years after Vasilisa's illness I lived in a fog. From depression I was saved by fashion. I love to measure clothes. It is not necessary to buy at all. But in the stores I am distracted. "
Masha divorced her husband in a month and a half until June 17, 2015. Since then, dad in the life of Vasilisa appears once every six months.
Maria lives with her mother, Svetlana Mikhailovna. They work alternately (Maria - an accountant and economist) and spend time with a cornflow. And every weekend, all year round, when there is no rain, the three of them go to the Curonian braid.
Vasilisa and her mother Maria photo: Oksana Yushko for TDTalking about all this, Masha suddenly nods at her daughter sitting on her lap and says: "Now Vasilisa has an attack." The cornfield froze with her head down and a stopped look, from the side - the child became silent, tired. A minute later, the girl got up, looked around and went to shift toys on the carpet.
During one such attack, Vasilisa fell and broke a piece of the front tooth. The dentist said until the enamel is formed and all the milk teeth change, nothing can be corrected. “Therefore, we walk such beauties,” says Maria. And Vasilisa is really a beautiful girl.
And laughs contagiously.
Once, Maria drove Vasilka for treatment abroad-they collected money from friends, on online platforms and on the marathon "We need you." There, Maria met the organizers of the marathon - B with the Centorifical Center “I Believe in the Miracle”.
“Our“ Lubutena, ”Masha nods towards bulky pink orthopedic boots. “They stand like luboutin.” But the center bought this couple.
Now Masha rejoices at every little thing, Wasilka every new day and smile - and recalls her former: “She was funny, funny and on her mind. She is now funny. This is its superpower. All the qualities that delighted me before have not gone anywhere. ”

Grandfather, Vasily Vasilievich, who is also the godfather, in honor of him and they named his granddaughter, and they go to the zoo come three times a week. Most of all, Vasilisa likes to feed fish there.
Masha and Vasilisa have many friends. Therefore, they rarely encounter misunderstanding, pity, aggression. And if the children suddenly ask what with Vasilisa, Masha explains: “Vasilisa fell ill and after the illness returned to us another. But someday she will become the same as you. ”
Now Vasilisa continues to develop. A gaming therapist and a neuropsychologist from “Believe in Miracle” and other specialists are engaged in her. But Masha understands that while the level of development of the daughter does not correspond to age and she is not yet ready for school. Before the illness, Vasilisa spoke sentences and joked in the subject. Now only makes sounds. He does not draw, does not sculpt. He does not read fairy tales and does not listen - gnaws. But he understands speech and jokes.
The right side of the body is almost non -working. The brush of the left hand is slightly smaller than the right, it moves poorly. The cornfield does not put the left leg, but pulls it behind the right. “This is not so important. And you can live with one hand. The main thing is not to get sick, ”Maria is sure.
Vasilisa photo: Oksana Yushko for TDIn order not to get sick this summer, Vasilisa and her mother went to the Fruppolo therapeutic camp - this is also a project of the Center for families with palliative children. Volunteers are engaged with the guys, psychologists with their parents. Both Mary and Vasilka liked the camp.
“I believe in a miracle” and “Fruppolo” has been helping families who want to continue to live an ordinary life, no matter what. Please support the organization’s work: any donation will make it possible to make the children who once “left” receive all the necessary assistance on time and can return.
