On May 31, the traditional charity marathon of the Ordinary Miracle Foundation was held in the City Garden. Despite the rainy weather, hundreds of Tomsk residents came to watch the concert and help sick children.
During the marathon, 46 families contacted the Ordinary Miracle Foundation. Most children have already received support, but some still need help.
Governor of the Tomsk region Sergei Zhvachkin also took part in the marathon. He gave Kira Belan's family a certificate to pay for the treatment. A one and a half year old baby has ichthyosis. Since birth, the girl has been observed at the Regional Dermatovenerological Dispensary. She needed 600 thousand rubles for a course of treatment in Germany.
“We have united people in Siberia. And we always prove in action, not in words, that someone else’s misfortune does not exist. The most important thing, probably, for all adults on Earth is to take care of the health of our children,” said the head of the region.
Deputy Mayor of Tomsk Oksana Kravchenko and City Duma Speaker Sergei Ilyinykh also took part in the charity event. They handed over a certificate for 510 thousand rubles, thanks to which eight families will receive assistance. The mayor’s office and the Duma allocated another 90 thousand to equip the fund’s Mutual Help Center at Krylova, 5.
The results of the charity marathon will be announced later.
