Tomsk motorists note that there have not been so many potholes and potholes on city roads for many years. Some drivers even plan to repair the car after this spring - to rebuild the damaged suspension, reports Rush Hour.
At the same time, city and regional authorities are trying to find out who is to blame for the poor quality of Tomsk roads.
The mayor of Tomsk, Nikolai Nikolaychuk, said that the regional authorities are depriving the city : last year Tomsk received 0 rubles for road repairs, this year - 17 million.
“Who divided the money like this? Why is the city left without money for roads for the second year? I’m bored being responsible for the city’s roads alone. I can’t understand whether the city will receive support for roads from regional deputies and authorities,” Nikolaychuk said at the annual report.
At the same time, the regional administration believes that money for road repairs in Tomsk is allocated according to standards . As Deputy Governor for Finance Alexander Fedenev told Rush Hour reporters, there is no need to talk about the orphanhood and deprivation of the city of Tomsk in this regard.
“Last year, the city received 2.8 billion rubles from the federal and regional budgets for road construction alone. And in 2011 - 3 billion rubles. This is more than the entire regional road fund. Therefore, regarding deprivation and orphanhood, I think not quite so. To be objective, hardly anyone will say that the roads in the region are better than in the city. The roads in the city are bad, but in the region, unfortunately, there are often none,” added Alexander Fedenev.
Let us add that this year the region allocated about 18 million rubles to Tomsk for major road repairs. The mayor promised to add another 100 million from the city budget and solve the problem of Tomsk roads.
