Tonino Guerra. "Tolstoy's Lanterns" . The impetus for creating the sculptures was the author’s visit to Yasnaya Polyana, and the subjects of most collages are inspired by Armenia. Lanterna means "lantern" in Italian. One day Guerra came to bow to Tolstoy’s grave, and then found himself at the railway station, which is connected with the writer’s last journey. There he saw a faceted antique lantern, the kind used by station guards. Its contours can be seen in all the lantern-sculptures presented at the exhibition, forged according to the sketches of Tonino Guerra. Museum of Personal Collections , until September 23.
