350 million children in the world are starving

In the world there are 350 million hungry children, and especially an alarming position is formed in the DPRK, Bangladesh and African countries. This was informed by the Executive Director of the World Food Program (VPP) UN James Morris, reports the American newspaper The Chicago Tribune .

According to Morris, in the north of the Korean Peninsula, the Oon program helps to feed 6.5 million people, including 4 million children. However, the volume of assistance is periodically reduced, since the funds run out due to the reluctance of some countries, for example, Japan, to cooperate with Pyongyang. It is this situation that develops now.

In Bangladesh, the runway feeds 1.2 million schoolchildren. And if the program had enough resources, then the number of such assistance in this country could be expanded by 5-10 times, ITAR-TASS reports.

The desperate situation, according to Morris, develops in Africa, where the AIDS epidemic is rampant, which exacerbates the problem of children's hunger. Currently, in Black Africa, there are 14 million orphans whose parents died of this disease.

In total, 840 million people are not at the planet - 40 million more than 10 years ago. With current resources, the World Food Program has the opportunity to help only 110 million.
