| In the Kurgan region, the search for Vladimir Kirsanov, a well-known journalist in the region, editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper “Kurganskie Vesti”, has been going on for the second week. He disappeared on May 17, leaving for work in the morning. An employee was waiting for Kirsanov at the editorial office, whom he had warned the day before that they would have to hold a series of business meetings. After waiting until lunch, the journalist, concerned about the boss’s long absence, went out into the editorial courtyard, where she found Vladimir’s empty car. On the same day, a few hours later, unknown persons robbed Kirsanov’s apartment, stealing all the money, valuables and documents. According to the police, the robbers used keys that belonged to the missing journalist. The investigation is working on a variety of versions of what happened, including kidnapping for ransom. Information about the progress of the search is received by the office of the presidential plenipotentiary representative in the Urals Federal District Pyotr Latyshev, the governor of the Kurgan region Oleg Bogomolov, as well as the leadership of the political council of the Unity party. The editor and his newspaper worked closely with the Kurgan “bears”. The newspaper itself tends to associate the editor’s disappearance with his professional activities. Victor BELIMOV, Ekaterinburg
