Entertainment - go ahead!

The start of a new season does not bring a feeling of fresh air. No, television is really tormented in search of itself and its falling viewer. But the new TV language, the need for the creation of which was announced by TV bosses two years ago, at the TEFI ceremony turns out to be just a desire (sorry - quote) to “fuck old humor.” Strictly speaking, it was not the large channels that did this first, and the rise of the Comedy Club heroes is proof of this. But the brilliant TV presenters on the air of “First” cynically joke in the studio about the fact that none of the TV workers, well, literally no one, having the capabilities of television, raises questions about the social order.

Here is one character, worn out from overuse, already creating a parody of himself - chasing the stupidity of Russian officials (will he rise high?), for some reason voicing texts in a goonish voice. Another is striving to become a public figure (poor Russia!), the third, a crafty “investigator”, is in the same ranks.

And if the main news about television are rumors about whether the main Russian TV teacher will or will not host the main news program of the country (well, what would decisively change from her absence?), then, it seems, what is there to talk about?

They still try. Finally crowned with the most prestigious award - for his contribution to the development of TV, Vladimir Pozner, with pleasure, once again asks questions written, if not by program editors, then at least by Marcel Proust. To whom? Alexander Gordon, for whom there are no more despised people than Garry Kasparov... And as if we have no other heroes. Although they promise Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

But in a country where mysterious murders occur every day (even in Moscow), and journalists flee abroad, they don’t talk about this on television. But there is talk - from the stage at the TEFI ceremony (!) - about information weapons. Well, now is not the time for even cynical “information sharpening”, the time is for atomic bombs.

More meaningful conversations continue, as before, in the night at Tatiana Tolstoy’s with Avdotya Smirnova, but Oleg Dorman’s “Interlinear” breaks into the light 11 years later - through cunning manipulations - transferring the disc from hand to hand, and the event becomes a scandalous movie " First” (“My husband is a genius” won two TEFI prizes). Once again, it is worth recognizing that the best television in Russia is entertainment. Its best representatives have a place on the air when they host the “TEFI” ceremony.

The new brainchild of VGTRK, God willing, will turn out to be what it is intended to be. But whether the new channel will give young people a sense of their country is a rhetorical question. In the meantime, the gopota, brought up in the style of TV of recent years, is guarding journalists at the entrance...
