Tenacious D is a group of famous actor Jack Black and his friend Kyle Gass. Jack is an excellent comedian who played in films such as King Kong, Peter Jackson, Michel Gondry and the Rock School, but in addition to the gift of lying down, nature gave him an amazing musical talent. The Tribute song was a real discovery for me. Although I saw the film “The School of Rock” before that Jack sang and played the guitar, but I did not think that everything was so serious.
Jack and Kyle, both actors, met back in 1989, being participants in the theater group The Actors' Gang. Despite the fact that at first they did not get along, they were able to make friends and be damn useful to each other - Kyle (he is 4 years older than a friend) taught Black to play the guitar, and he, in turn, pulled the Gesse in acting.

Well, in 1994 they became the Tenacious D group. The name means “strong di” - the expression used by the sports commentator Marv Albert to describe a powerful positional game in the defense of basketball was chosen on one of the performances. The duet suggested that the audience come up with the name for the group, among the stupid names were the following: “Pets or Meat” (pets or meat), “Balboa's Biblical Theater” (Biblical Theater) and “The Axe Lords Featuring Gorgazon's Mischief” Gorgazon mischievous). The guys liked Tenacious D , so they pushed him, although in impromptu spectator voting it did not gain a majority of votes.

The guys play surprisingly positive music, in almost every song telling some kind of story about their friendship, “sexual achievements” or banal smoking of hemp. Do not think that all their music is just fooling. They play very high -quality music, giving out cool guitar solo, and Black’s vocals are a separate topic for conversation. He has an amazing voice, he is either grill or sings with a thin voice. Critics called the genre in which they play, "Mock-Rock", which means "mocking, parody rock."
Many musician engage in music very seriously, some engage in it as work - which does not have to bring pleasure. And the types from Tenacious D make music - like it. They joke, sing, swear, sing again, and listening to them for me is a pleasure. Many songs are preceded by ironic dialogues to understand them a little to know English - this is another reason to listen to them, not in vain they are both comedic actors.
Being talented comedians, any of their clip becomes a hilarious mini-film, any living performance turns into an enchanting show with a reckless, funny Jack Black in the title role.
There are only a few of their songs in this post, but there are enough of them to make their opinion about this amazing duet. So, if you like it, look for more songs and clips. Enjoy!
