The Ministry of Finance has submitted to the government a package of bills on tax reform, said Yuri Zubarev, head of the department for relations with state and public organizations of the Ministry of Finance. The package includes seven bills to reduce the unified social tax, change the taxation of the oil industry, change the income tax, increase excise taxes in 2005, as well as change the tax regime with Belarus. It is planned to reduce the base UST rate from 35.6 to 26%, as well as introduce a three-level tax scale instead of a four-level one. In the area of taxation of the oil industry, it is proposed to introduce a four-stage scale of export duties instead of a three-stage one.
On Friday, Minister of Agriculture Alexei Gordeev introduced the head of the Federal Fisheries Agency Stanislav Ilyasov.
