Some Tomsk media reported information about possible frosts in August. Forecasters from the Tomsk hydrometeorological center denied this information.
As the head of the meteorology department of the Tomsk hydrometeorological center, Svetlana Ryukhtina, told the TV2 news agency, there will be no frosts in the city and region until the weekend, and from August 20, warming will begin to +21...+23 with variable precipitation.
“Cold arctic air has now arrived in the Tomsk region. Tomorrow, August 16, in Tomsk we expect wind gusts of up to 10-12 m/s. Light precipitation is also expected,” said Svetlana Ryukhtina.
Despite the fact that hail the size of a chicken egg occurred in the neighboring Kemerovo region on August 14 , Tomsk weather forecasters say that residents of the Tomsk region should not be afraid of hail.
“Thanks to cloudiness of 10 points, hail will not be able to form in the Tomsk region,” explained Svetlana Ryukhtina.
