Children's Book Day

Today is International Children's Book Day. Many libraries in our city will open specialized exhibitions and host events. And the regional children's and youth library began celebrating the book holiday today. Children's book week started unusually at the regional children's and youth library. In addition to the traditional exhibition of favorite and famous books - about Winnie the Pooh, Carlson, Matroskin the cat, a meeting with the Tomsk writer Veniamin Kolykhalov was organized for the youngest readers.
Veniamin Kolykhalov, writer: “Today is the presentation of my new book “Mole Metro”. The drawings in it were made by children from the Svetlensky Governor’s Lyceum.”
“Mole Metro” is already the third book for children by Veniamin Kolykhalov. Although, many years ago, the author did not think that he would write for children. It all started with a small quatrain about cucumbers, which was read by Agnia Barto. Her rave reviews played a role.
Then the festive program was continued by a reading competition, a small performance and an introduction to new arrivals. But the celebration of children's books in the regional library does not end there. Games, competitions and quizzes will be held here for another week.
