Yura Borisov - universal favorite
Russia followed the successes of actor Yura Borisov, who in the last couple of months has become a star not only in his homeland, but also in the West. He was nominated for an Oscar in the category of “Best Male Role of the Supporting” for the Anor, in which he played a guy Igor, who helps the Russian oligarch solve his problems. For the same role, Borisov was nominated for the Golden Globe, Spirit Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and the Sag Awards Guild Award , in addition, he got into the BAFTA brief list.
During the presentation of the Golden Globe, Borisov, as it seemed to many, breathed a sigh of relief when Kiran Kalkin was declared the winner (he received a reward for his role in the film “Real Pain”). The video with Borisov instantly became a meme: in social networks they joked that at that moment Yura Borisov realized that he would not have to make a speech in English. “You are sitting, worrying. “This is not my language, it’s still difficult to speak it. If I had to do it, I would have done, of course,” Borisov himself commented on his breath.

At first, Gascon called him a “martyr hero,” and a few weeks later she wrote that he was a “drug addict and a fraud”: “His death once again emphasized that there are those who still consider dark-skinned monkeys without rights, and those who consider the police killers. All this is not true. ”
After the scandals, Gascon was removed from participating in the Emilia Perez advertising campaign, she also missed several events in Los Angeles.
