In Tyumen, the scientist is judged for "extremism." More precisely, the teacher of the Tyumen State State University Andrei Kutuzov is accused of allegedly written and distributed at a rally against the arbitrariness of the Center for Combating Extremism a leaflet with a title of “cops to the wall!”. According to the Tyumen FSB, the leaflet contains signs of "extremism" - that is, it relies on up to three years of the colony.

Kutuzov has been judged for the third month. The prosecution of prosecutors Anatoly Kedko and Denis Shcheglov is not easy.

First of all, the 29-year-old Andrei Kutuzov is a candidate of philological sciences, and the leaflet contains gross stylistic, punctuation and spelling errors. Their presence is confirmed by an examination of Professor Tyumu (however, they are visible even to a person who is not burdened with special knowledge in the field of the Russian language and stylistics).

The remaining experts of the FSB Office of the Tyumen region say rather strange things.

The expert linguist of the FSB of the Sverdlovsk region Svetlana Mochalova, for example, refers to the textbook of the odious dean of the social faculty of Moscow State University Vladimir Dobrenkov. According to Dobrenkov, the police are a social group, and the proof of this fact is just one of the key points of the prosecution (the law on extremism prohibits hatred to social groups). About whether to consider the police (or any other authority) such - they have been arguing for many years. Around this sociological nuance, the whole mess with the art group “War” is being spinning now. Meanwhile, a group of scientists from the Nizhny Novgorod State University on the order of the Human Rights Association "Agora" conducted a society and came to the conclusion that police officers are not a social group. Moreover, in Yekaterinburg there is already a court decision from which a similar conclusion follows. That is, it is strange to appeal to the definition of social groups from the textbook of Vladimir Dobrenkov - as canonical.

Mochalova also said that she managed to determine the gender, age and occupation of the author of the leaflet (the spilled Kutuzov is obtained). The floor, for example, she established on the following signs of the text: socio-political topics, performance on behalf of a group of persons, the presence of a clear logical structure of the text, sequence and concreteness, the use of lexical and semantic paradigms with the meaning “struggle”. Apparently, based on the fact that women do not know how to think logically (including, apparently, Mochalov itself), do not speak out on socio-political topics and generally always protrude only in the first person.

Colleague Svetlana Mochalova-expert psychologist of the regional forensic examination of the Ministry of Justice Olga Usova, answering the questions of a lawyer, issued phrases like: “The center of E monitors the cleanliness of the information field of the collective unconscious” and referred to the Wordel program (the second name is Diaton). This program, posted on the website Vedium.ru (which, incidentally, also offers “scientific protection against vampirism and damage”) helped Usova to count “25 percent of the hit” of the text of the leaflet in the “negative semantic field of the collective unconscious”. The defense presented the publication at the Vestnik Nizhny Novgorod State University, where the Diaton program is called Pseudo -Scientific Instrumentation, but the judge refused to introduce the article to the case.

The accusation was brought not only by experts, but also by penguins. Those that symbolize free software. At the penultimate court session, the defendant’s defense proposed to examine material evidence. In particular, a certain disk allegedly seized from Kutuzov during a search in April 2010. In total, 104 “blanks” were seized, their FSB officers did not bother, so now they were seized, among other things, they were not able to. However, the matter is not only in the absence of an inventory.

The disk contains files with an “extremist” layout in ODT format (that is, OpenOffice). So, the date of creating and changing the ODT files, set by the OpenOffice program itself - June 17, 2010 - that is, already at the time when the Kutuzov’s computer was at the FSB with the investigator.

But these are not all the disasters that have comprehended. The fact is that Kutuzov, like many Russian activists, a convinced user of free software. And on both of its computers seized by the FSB, Linux stands. A disc is recorded by Nero Burning Rom, which works only under Windows. That is, it was impossible to record this disk on Kutuzov’s native computer.

Yesterday, the lawyer of the accused Alexei Ladin filed a motion to remove the justice of the peace Elena Garipova, the leading process. Within three months, the defense insisted on the rechecking of dubious arguments of the prosecution, but in vain. The lawyer also asked to call the investigator Anatoly Sukharev to the court to interrogate him about the disk. The judge rejected the petition.

At one time on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was the section "Statistics". Among other things, there was information about the crimes of an “extremist orientation”. Each month, starting from January 2009, their steady growth was recorded: from 39 cases in January 2009 to August 450, 2010. Not so long ago, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has updated the structure of the site. "Statistics" is no longer there. We no longer know how many more in the country of “extremism” are in the country, like Kutuzovsky. Meanwhile, the Department of Combating Extremism is the only unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that expands the state as part of the police reform. All the others, on the contrary, are reduced by 20 percent.

Ironically, Andrei Kutuzov was one of the initiators of the public campaign for disbanding the Department of Combating Extremism. The Tyumen Center “E” was already trying to bring him to criminal liability in 2009, but then the case was closed for lack of evidence, and on one of the employees of the center, on the contrary, they opened the case for beating a witness.
