They are accused of embezzlement of 350 million tons of oil. Khodorkovsky considered the court decision unlawful and announced a hunger strike, which he intended to continue until President Dmitry Medvedev announces that he was aware of this situation. Khodorkovsky announced this in a letter sent to the chairman of the Supreme Court. The prisoner was not starving for long: the very next day, the presidential press secretary Natalya Timakova announced that the president was familiar with the letter. Khodorkovsky considered that the goal was achieved and stopped the action.

Now Medvedev has demonstrated that he not only accepted the words of the prisoner, but also seriously reacted to them. Otherwise, why was there about this with the heads of the three courts?
