Kursk survived one of the most powerful attacks of enforcement officers from the beginning of the war. Even those who are used to everything are shocked

On the night of April 15, Kursk was attacked by about a hundred drones. According to local authorities, UAVs hit residential buildings and ambulances. As a result, an 85-year-old local resident died, nine more people were injured. The city has serious destruction: 24 apartment buildings, 37 private possessions and 11 ambulances were damaged. More than two hundred people were evacuated to temporary accommodation points. Officials promise that everyone whose housing was injured will be assisted: they will pay compensation from 75 to 150 thousand rubles, will repair housing at the expense of the budget and compensate for the rental of apartments.

Acting Governor Alexander Hinshtein called the "unprecedented crime of Ukrainian Nazis" unprecedented in stiffness. " According to the official, four people remain in the hospital, one of the victims in serious condition: “She has 45% of the second and third degree of the face, the body,” he said. The attack began about two in the morning, several loud challenges sounded. “Sirens have earned warnings about missile hazard at the very end of a long series of three dozen explosions,” says local social activist Vladimir Sinelnikov.

As Leonid Zolotukhin, a resident of the Old Murynovka microdistrict, told reporters, where the drone flew at that night, he ran out of his one -story house and managed to take only documents with him. Zolotukhin’s house caught fire after the explosion, the fire destroyed the roof, the courtyard and residential premises were badly damaged. You can’t live there now, so Leonid decided to go to relatives:

“Although I managed to bring [some] things, I put the documents, put in the garden, and the roof must be done. The most important thing is that he survived, and that's okay. Slowly, somehow. I think the administration [city] will help, ”the pensioner does not lose heart .

Another local resident told Novaya Gazeta Europe that she had a witness to a night attack while at home, in the Central District of Kursk. One of the UAV hit the house near her. Our interlocutor survived a raid in her apartment with a dog and children, she had nowhere to run:

“It was one of the worst nights since the beginning of the war. Thank God, I did not experience the spiritual pain that those in whose house flew in. I came home at about eleven o'clock in the evening, and only went to bed. At about one in the morning the first explosions began.

Our children are already accustomed to these raids, so they behave very responsibly. They ran into my room and shouted: "Mom, the explosions begin!" They took a blanket, pillows and closed all the doors, windows. It was very scary. It has never been so scary. The explosions were endless. Our dog ran along the corridor all the time, howled, scratched the door. There was horror in her eyes: "Let's run from here."

I am shocked by what is happening. The last time it was when the Armed Forces of Ukraine went to the Kursk region in August. The flashes were so powerful that when I closed the windows, it was light from the explosions on the street. Sirens shouted, everything rumbled around, and we did not sleep until the morning. Later, news began that some houses were damaged, [including in our area]. I understood that my house could become the following, so a plan was already created in my head: where to run, what documents are enough, what to do.

As such, there are no bomb shelters in our house. There is a “bomb shelter”, but the key to it lies somewhere in the office of the management company. If anything - you need to run to them, take the key, and then hide. ”
