Boris Nemtsov was killed

The opposition politician Boris Nemtsov was killed. He was shot dead on Friday late in the center of Moscow.

Nemtsov’s death was confirmed by the head of the Moscow branch of the RPR-Parnas Ilya Yashin. The crime occurred on the Vasilievsky descent. According to the source of the REN TV channel, a white car was shot four times into politics. Nemtsov died from the wounds.

Boris Nemtsov was 55 years old. In 1991, he became the first province of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Then he went to work in the Russian government as the Minister of Fuel and Energy (1997) and the First Deputy Chairman of the Government (1997-1998). In 1998, he created the liberal movement “Russia Young”, which then acted as one of the founders of the Coalition “The right business” (1998–2000) and the Union of Right Forces party. Boris Nemtsov was elected several times to the Russian parliament, in 1990 he was elected People's Deputy of the RSFSR, in 1993 he was elected to the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, in 1995-1997. He was a member of the Federation Council in the position of the governor. In 1999-2003, he was a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, where he held the positions of deputy chairman of the State Duma and the head of the ATP faction. One of the creators and leaders of the ODD "Solidarity", co-chair of the Political Party "RPR-Parnas", member of the Coordinating Council of the Russian opposition.

In the regional elections on September 8, 2013, he was elected deputy of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma at the head of the RPR-Parnas party list. Author of a number of reports on the situation in the country during the reign of Putin (“Putin. Results 10 years”, “Putin. Corruption”), as well as one of the organizers and participants of “Marshals of disagreed” and protest rallies “For honest elections” (2011-2013).
