Igor Rostislavovich Shafarevich died.
A person tried to take the Russians from both roads to one cliff - communist and liberal. Well, in general, successful.
Our friend, Russian scientist Igor Rostislavovich Shafarevich died.
He was the first to enter the Red City Council of the magazine "Questions of Nationalism" and always supported us.
Hoorants.
What a mournful news. : ((((
Eternal memory!
Shafarevich’s contribution to mathematics is retold by Kommersant:
“Igor Rostislavovich Shafarevich is an absolutely wonderful mathematician. Specialists in the theory of numbers highly value his early work under the law of reciprocity and the reverse task of Galois theory, ”said the doctor of the University of Independent Moscow University, Mikhail Tsfasman.“ The Group of Shafarevich-the Group of Shafarevich, in all languages of the world, designated by the title Russian plays in the arithmetic of the University of Independent Moscow, told Kommersant. ” The letter of Sh. In the same area lies a criterion of good reduction of Nero - OGGA - Shafarevich. " According to Mr. Tsfasman, these works of Igor Shafarevich allowed other mathematicians after forty years to finally prove the great farm theorem. “Together with Evgeny Solomonovich, he very beautifully solved the problem of the infinity of the tower of the fields of classes-today we call them the towers of hunger-Shafarevich,” said Mikhail Tsfasman. “The excellent work on arithmetic surfaces of the K3 type were made in collaboration with Ilya Iosifovich Pyatsky-Shapiro and Alexei Nikolayevich Rudakov. It is very interesting and, in my opinion, it is not fully understood and evaluated by his work with Pyatetskoy-Shapiro in uniforms and pro-Kredits of algebraic diversity. ” Mr. Tsfasman emphasized that his generation of mathematicians studied according to Igor Shafarevich’s books “Fundamentals of Algebraic Geometry”, “Theory of numbers”, “Zeta-Function”. “We know the classification of surfaces from the works of its seminar. He said very clearly and was an excellent lecturer. He had wonderful students, including my teacher Yuri Ivanovich Manin, ”said Mikhail Tsfasman.“ You can safely call him the creator of the Moscow School of Algebraic Geometry and the Algebraic Theory of Numbers. ” Kingdom of Heaven! "
“It was one of the most outstanding mathematicians of our time. His works are classic, they immediately entered the treasury of science, ”said Russian President Vladimir Fortov on Monday.“ It is also important that this person was a pronounced civil position. He had his own non -trivial point of view, often unwilling with the generally accepted, but he did not hide his views and was always concerned about the state of affairs. His proposals for improving both social issues and our scientific life have always been very important and accurate. ”
It is no secret, however, that the deceased had a reputation as a seasoned anti -Semite.
The chief anti -Semite of Russia Shafarevich died.
The media write that the type of mind has faded.
The famous mathematician and the leader of the right-conservative wing of dissidents, a man who introduced the terms of the Small People and Russophobia, which were sadly spreading among propagandists-neopons, has introduced the right-wing wing of dissidents.
As a person, consistently and evidence (and in a different way, being a mathematician, he could not) defended his position, he deserves an respectful bow “after the departing” - a bow to the anti -Semite from a Jew ...
Not only mathematics, but also intellectual anti -Semitism suffered a lot of loss. Supporters of this popular direction of social thought mourn the care of the “great Russian thinker” (“tomorrow”), “a person with a pronounced civil position” (TASS). Representatives of the nasty side (it is clear who) write about his mind and honesty - let them not think that the Jews are evil people.
Academician I. Shafarevich was sincere, open and honestly announced his anti -Semitism and vodophobia. Moreover, he criticized the national policy of the USSR, believing that Jews have the right to study as everything (the famous “interest rate”) and have the right to leave for Israel.
Because he was sick of a certain ridiculous role of the Russian people in the USSR, which, on the one hand, was a "older brother", and on the other hand, lived in such a miserable and slave state that other nations of the third world are still surprised. After all, the Russian people continue to be in the same state, if they have not plunged into even darker and pagan wilds. It was I. Shafarevich, perhaps for the first time, that showed that even an academician of mathematics is able to believe in the "ritual murder of the royal family" and is able to repeat the okyist propaganda after the Holocaust. The main thing here - once again - he was completely sincere, was not a KGB agent and wrote this Galica not for money at all. Even on the contrary, his career was broken by participating in human rights movement and opening the exposition of artophobia.
In time, actually died, followers are trying to pull out his beloved ideology from a socio-political ghetto. They will not pull it out, they will turn off. But old mathematics would be pleased to look at the process itself.
Fans of the departed publicist answer all this in the key "The fool himself."
He was a man of the deepest mind and crystal inner honesty. And the collection “From under the blocks” (1974), which was the reason for the removal of an outstanding mathematician, about that time of the member of the Academy of Sciences from teaching at Moscow State University-will remain in the history of free Russian thought as one of its most brave and amazing sprouts that managed to break through to people in inhuman times.
With the fools who will repeat about his “anti -Semitism”, he does not intend to argue with other people's cliches. I can only say that Igor Rostislavovich stood at the origins of the human rights movement in conditions that are not comparable to the current current ones. Along with such different and disagreed with him, and with each other opponents, like Solzhenitsyn and Sakharov. Only this is the independence and non -aggression of thoughts, the willingness to risk life for their beliefs, and not the stupid repetition of other people's ideologies - to adequately be called the high word freedom.
Shafarevich was part of the same “Human Rights Committee in the USSR”, for participating in which one could not pay a grant to pay, but a prison or a punitive psychiatric hospital.
Bright memory.
Read in the mid-80s "Russophobia" plunged me into the deepest shock. I did not know the Augusten Koshen, and it was Shafarevich who introduced me to the concept of the “small people”. It was quite obvious that I was demonstrated a merciless analysis of my whole environment and myself. Most of the usual judgments, ideas about themselves and the world were uncritically perceived "from the air", from opinions and judgments of the environment. But here it was necessary to make the final choice - to remain in the previous state, clearly understanding that you are part of a parasitic neoplasm, a cancer tumor - or try to stand on an extremely painful path of a slow return to a normal human state. The path, which assumed not only the complete rethinking of all the ideas familiar to automatism, but also a complete gap with almost all friends and acquaintances.
I made my choice, but what could have happened to me, I don’t know this book on time. Was it a key turning point, and two or three years later it would be too late? Or would the return happen, at another time, from another push, external or internal? You can only guess. But everything happened as it happened. His other works did not have such an action, I agreed with something, with something-no, but these are already uninteresting details of the biography. But for that turn, for the radical change of fate - my eternal gratitude to Igor Rostislavovich.
Igor Rostislavovich Shafarevich (06/03/1923-20.02.2017) will remain in the history of Russian public thought with two epoch-making achievements.
Firstly, it was Shafarevich, being a mathematician, and not the humanitarium, in his work “Socialism as a phenomenon of world history” (1974), one of the first revealed the religious-mystical and psychoanalytic essence of socialist utopias, which today is already a hundred times chewed by banality, and for the Soviet man the era of “stagnation” was a real revelation. This work of Shafarevich was one of the strong antidotes against the constant attempts of our patriots to flirt with communism, and that is why not only liberals, but also many nationalists who agreed to raise the red flag in the 90s were silent in the 90s.
Secondly, it was Shafarevich, being a world-recognized scientist and corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, in his 1982 work of the same name, he dared to declare such a taboo problem as Russophobia. It is not surprising that the Russophobes themselves were not even going to read this text, because they were enough for the very word - “Russophobia” to declare it “fascist” and “anti -Semite”, as, however, to many real fascists and anti -Semites without quotes, there was enough this word to write Shafarevich in his idols. And again, if today the term "Russophobia" is constantly used in our federal media, then more recently there was no question of this - not to mention late Soviet times.
Unfortunately, persecution of Shafarevich on the one hand, and his misunderstanding on the other hand, made his modest nature even more shy and closed. Having lived up to 93 years, he rarely appeared "in public", in fact did not participate in any political or near political projects. But these two of his works - “socialism” - and “Russophobia” - have already become a classic of Russian thought, and in this century they are especially relevant.
Unlike Solzhenitsyn, after which Shafarevich was perhaps the second large size among dissident thinkers, in relation to the work of the academician I have a large gap - a white spot. Surely, this is due to the fact that Shafarevich did not leave behind his works of art, his ideas did not become an impulse to create powerful political projects, and in post-Soviet times was not particularly popular.
Nevertheless, it is worth recognizing: in modern Russia, in the form of works and articles, there is only one political thought - Russian national.
At Shafarevich, I read only "Russophobia", and I did not like this book very much (why - it doesn’t matter). But this is exactly what I immediately felt, what I really liked in Shafarevich, something that in the world of ezopic winks is not enough, like air, that is valuable above gold is the ability to speak directly <...>
And the truth: in the Russian national state today there would be mourning.
The unconditional Panegyric came out of the pen of Konstantin Krylov - it is printed on the website of the "Agency of Political News":
Igor Rostislavovich was extremely whole in nature. His views changed only under the weight of irrefutable facts. He could be mistaken, but these were logical mistakes.
I once asked him if he was going to write something else. He said-"It remains to add something, I did not talk everything in other works." That is - to make several clarifying strokes. But all he wanted to say, he said. His system of views is one of the most finished in the history of Russian thought. It should be treated with it - as a semantic unity.
Therefore, it is so significant that Shafarevich is already at the age when everything is defined, balanced and measured-decisively and without hesitation supported the new Russian nationalism, that is, national democratic views. He entered the editorial counsel of the magazine "Questions of Nationalism" and supported us as best he could.
As for the “Russophobia”, this is a huge intellectual luck. This book is written quite simply so that any competent person can understand it, and contains a rather complex system of views and assessments to apply them in practice now. The apparatus introduced by Shafarevich - starting from the very word "Russophobia" - is now completely perceived by the Russian intellectual community. Without it, it is simply impossible to imagine modern Russian nationalism.
I know well the Russian tradition of national thought, starting with the Samarinsky “letters from Riga” and ending with modern literature. The regiment with these books is decorated with such authors as Menshikov, Rozanov ... Dostoevsky, finally.
And yet, if you approach these works with a measurement of significance for Russian, I would not hesitate to put the Russophobia in the first place.
Alexander Prokhanov in the newspaper "Tomorrow" accuses the very "small people" of silence of Shafarevich's ideas:
At the end of the Soviet era there were three great dissidents: Sakharov, Solzhenitsyn and Shafarevich. Academician Sakharov became an indisputable leader of the democratic direction, an amulet of free thought and liberalism, his name was named a prospect at which our “orange” gathered.
Solzhenitsyn did not immediately return to Russia, waiting for the revolution of August 91 to end. He got on the triumph train in Vladivostok, moved through all of Russia; He was greeted with bread and salt and crowned in the post of great writer. And in this capacity, almost indisputable, he lived the last years of his life.
And only Igor Rostislavovich Shafarevich won a completely different share. He was surrounded by a dense cloud of darkness. Official propaganda, the dominant liberals did not notice him or called him a fascist, just like Rasputin or Bondarev.
Where does this hatred come from, is this rejection? Apparently, they arose due to the fact that Shafarevich organized his intellectual and spiritual attack not just on the design of the Soviet system, not just on communism unacceptable to him, but much deeper.
He formulated the concept of “Russophobia” as a mood dominated in Russia since the end of the 19th century. He accused of Russophobia entire layers of modern and past days of liberalism, saying that through the rejection of all Russian - history, literature, mentality - the suppression and destruction of the huge people is carried out.
At the same time, he continued and developed the theory of the “small people”, which saddled a sedentary majority, depresses it. These concepts made Igor Rostislavovich unacceptable for the victorious liberal-democratic direction.
Sergei Prostakov on the website of Open Russia states that for the current government Shafarevich is also not his own:
Even despite the fact that today anti -Semitic statements sound from the lips of not the last persons in the power hierarchy, it is unlikely that Shafarevich’s death will become a reason for memorial programs on the central channels. She will not even revise the relationship between liberals and nationalists again, as the National Liberal “Maidan” in Kyiv three years ago did not become him. One part of the company was once again convinced of the correctness of Sakharov, the other - the correctness of the author of "Russophobia".
It turned out that just last week, students and I at the seminar, among other "pre -personal" texts and sorted out "Russophobia", noted all its silence, distorting, internal and external contradictions ...
However, one, in my opinion, did not ignore the important, “rational grain”, which I, I repent, did not see 25 years ago and which, on the one hand, brings Shafarevich closer to his antagonist such as liberal-Pessimist Andrei Amalrik, and on the other hand, removals from most Russian democrats-optimists.
We are talking about recognizing the fundamental incompatibility of Russia as a whole - and liberalism as ideologies: “... the publicists of the“ small people, ”wrote Shafarevich,“ often emphasize that in Russian history a strong state played a large role - and in this they are apparently right. But it means that, according to their councils, they suddenly completely eliminate the role of the state, leaving as the only ones the acting in the society In no limited economic and political competition, then the result can only be quick and complete collapse. "
Very soon, after these lines were written, the story once again proved: political and information freedom leads to the rapid disintegration of the Russian power. And, on the contrary, its conservation and restoration are achieved only through the power abolition of all political and most civilian freedoms.
In general, Igor Shafarevich should pay tribute, at least, at least in the sense that it is his book that allows us to consider (and, therefore, to critically analyze) the latest Russian nationalism and anti -Semitism as a kind of intellectual whole, and not just as a set of heart -rending cries and hooligan exits, a la deputy Milonov.
I will add more. Writing the model of “ideal Russia” in the far of 1982, Shafarevich (as, by the way, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, around the same years) described in many ways the same “authoritarian-Orthodox-mope-imperial” something that has become purposefully implemented in practice over the past 15 years.
But at the same time, over all these years, I have not heard from the lips of Shafarevich the loud words of the approval of the current Russian politics.
Yes. And the last. Математик он, вроде бы, в самом деле был выдающийся (точно судить не берусь, ибо в данных науках не сведущ). И лучше бы Игорь Шафаревич только им и оставался. Проще было бы сегодня помянуть его добрым словом...
