Dance. In 1973, the star of the London Modern Dance Theater Celeste Dandecker, unsuccessfully performing the pirouette, broke her neck right on the stage. In 1991, the artist Adam Benjamin persuaded her to follow him and form a dance troupe. The troupe was called Candoco (“possible”) as a protest against the fact that disabled people cannot. There are 8 dancers in the troupe, three of whom are disabled. On April 13, on the stage of the Russian Academic Youth Theater at the first, and so far the only one, since the performance of this unique ensemble took place. The organizers of the tour wanted to attract public attention to the problem of the creative implementation of people with disabilities. And they fully succeeded. The theater has not seen such a stir and so many video cameras in the hall for a long time. And most importantly, the reason for this is not the specificity of the presentation. The audience witnesses of real art, located at the forefront of world dance achievements. The organizers of the charity event “Good Step” with a sense of respect and admiration for the courage of the artists accepted an invitation to cooperation from the organizers of the tour - the British Council in Moscow and the Moscow Academic Musical Theater named after K.S. Stanislavsky and Vl.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko. The Disabled Center “Peleng” and the Moscow Theater “Inspiration”, who visited this performance, once again received confirmation of the need for their difficult, but such life -affirming activity. Necessary not only for them, but also for all of us, if we want to remain people. There is nothing impossible when there is hope.

Last Wednesday, the next promotion of “Good step” took place in the theater of the book “Magic Lamp”. They were waiting for small spectators from the social shelter "Otradnoy".

Orphans with living parents saw the story literally about themselves. The plot is as follows: one irresponsible bird demolished the testicle and flew away, instead of sitting down it. The hard parental mission had to be fulfilled to the good elephant Horton. He went through adventures and trials, but he did not abandon the egg, because "he was faithful from the trunk to the tail."

The chick had to be born when a carefree bird appeared and presented its rights. But then the shell burst, and it was born ... Elephant, however, he was with wings, a sort of “ivory”. The guys laughed and applauded ...

And his artistic director Marina Gribanova works in this small theater. The former wardrobe was fired for not smiling at the audience. And Marina Borisovna smiles at everyone and listens at the same time what the children are talking about to her parents after the performance.
