The outstanding pianist, People's Artist of the USSR Nikolai Petrov died. He was 68 years old.

In May, Nikolai Petrov had a stroke during a tour in Minsk, from where he was transported to the hospital in Moscow.

Nikolai Petrov spoke with the famous orchestras of the world, organized festivals, founded the International Charity Fund for the Support of Young Musicians, and was the president of the Academy of Russian Art.

The date of farewell and the funeral has not yet been announced.
