The Polish group "Hippo" managed to play in Russia only four concerts of 13 planned ones: in St. Petersburg, Murmansk and Irkutsk. From the very beginning of the tour they were pursued by Orthodox activists who accused the musicians of propaganda of Satanism. Concerts were canceled in Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk and Novosibirsk.

A concert tour ended in the October Court of the city of Yekaterinburg. The musicians who entered the territory of Russia in business visas, who, according to the Federal Migration Service, do not give the right to carry out concert activities, found guilty of violating the stay regime, were sentenced to fines of 2 thousand rubles and obliged to independently and at their own expense to leave the territory of the Russian Federation. The musicians called the conditions of detention in the Russian Communist Party “a combination of Armageddon and Guantanamo”.

The Gdan Group "Hippo" has existed for more than 20 years and occupies one of the leading positions not only in Europe, but also in the world among heavy music performers in the Death Metal style.

In their work, musicians widely use the themes of Satanism, occultism and mythology of the Middle East. The last album of the group came out under the name "Satanist".

From the very beginning, the organizers of the tour were faced with opposition to people who called themselves "Orthodox activists." Under the pressure of activists in a number of cities, the group concerts were canceled. In Novosibirsk, the confrontation took on a threatening character. Before the concert, the young people staged a fight with the guards of the club and threatened the reprisals of the group to the group who came to a concert from several regions of Siberia before the concert. According to the public, police officers did not take sufficient measures to stop the dangerous actions of these activists.

Says Alexei Utkin , a fan of the Hippo group from Novoaltaysk.

- We went to the concert with an organized group from Barnaul. We expected provocations, everyone was warned that there were no creeps to fights on our part. It began so. A group of young people, one of them had a bat, went to the club, they tried to break through the guards, the guard did not let them in, they tied a fight, bruises and cones instructed two guards. The guard did not write any statements, even when the journalists arrived, the guard refused to give any comments. The police arrived, this fight was stopped, but they were not going to disperse, they stood on the porch in a dense crowd, the guys of sports physique, it is clear that the athletes. Then, when they began to look for these people “VKontakte”, they found out that these are the most members of the Yermak fighting club. One tattoo on the hand, it is clear that the camp work. There was no Orthodox or some other symbolism on clothes. They put forward the demand that the concert does not take place. This was motivated by the fact that the Hippo group is a propagandist of the Satanic cult. They had translations of texts, they read these texts to the police. They provoked ours, they say, come on, come, grabbed the girl by the hair. It was evident that they were some inadequate, I would say-drunk, but I talked with one, no smell emanated from them. They stated that if the concert is still taking place, then they collect a crowd, 150 people, with bats, reinforcement, “warmth” meet the group fans at the exit from the club, that is, they arrange a massacre and smash the club. Police officers heard all this and did not react to it at all. The police simply waited for if some bloody kneading began, they would intervene, and so simply observed neutrality and coordinated the situation so that God forbid nothing happened. The club director was scared and said that everything, there would be no concert. After that, a man dressed in a civilian came up to me, with him the head of the police department of this area, and they said that everyone diverges that the incident is exhausted, and the crowd is standing, interfering, and blocking the sidewalk. If we do not disperse, sanctions will be applied to us as instigators. Here is such an absurdity. Of course, they dispersed, but what was left for us? No measures were applied to the attackers, no one was detained. They said - go home, and everyone dispersed. The one who with a baseball bat, so with a bat, went. They beat two guards at the club. "Will you write statements?" - "No, we will not, no one beat anyone, everything is fine." The Novosibirsk residents are now digging, looking for explanations of what was happening, looking for the victims.

To the question of whether fans of the group are interested in Satanism, Alexey answered as follows:

- You excuse me, of course, for directness, but what, in Z ***, Satanism? I am interested in Vedic cultures, Buddhism, and Krishnaites. I am an absolutely adequate person, there is no Satan for me. For me, there is God, the highest power that only creates good. Satan is not for me, people came up with him, here is my belief. I am simply impressed by the energy of the Hippo group, how they start. Even without being their fan, energy can be imbued with two accounts.

The scandalous concert tour ended in Yekaterinburg. Before the concert began at the teleklub site, when the sound was already configured and the “warm -up” team began to play, the UFMS employees arrived at the musicians.

According to the press service of the Federal Migration Service of the Sverdlovsk Region, they received a signal of violation by musicians of the visa regime from Murmansk. Based on the results of the audit, the musicians were detained and sent to the police station.

Kristina Filatova , a telecolub promoter, spoke about the detention of musicians:

- Representatives of the FMS simply went into the room, talked in the dressing room with artists and said that it was necessary to go to the department. Until the very last moment, we were sure that the concert would take place, even the warm -up managed to perform, but then we announced that, unfortunately, the musicians would not return to the club.

About whether some public activists helped the security forces, she could not report anything definite:

“We don't know,” said Christina. -Maybe someone was there, but no one did anything. Just talked with the FMS.

Vyacheslav Kupriyanov , director of the Pinocchio recording studio, who became an eyewitness to the detention of musicians, so described what he saw:

- I saw how a crowd of people came out of the dusty “Pazik”. Two of them were obviously in the form of the police, and the rest of the person in a civilian, a characteristic type of such proletarian. Just do not tell me that these were all the employees of the Federal Migration Service, I will never believe. Of course, now they will deny, say that there were no religious activists. And who were these people? Let's get a clear answer - who were these people in the number of 15 people, in civilian clothes, what did they do there? These two policemen would have been enough to detain unarmed and harmless musicians and take it into capesuhu. And what did this crowd do there? If these are not activists, then who is it?

Hieromonk Kirill, who gave a comment on behalf of the Yekaterinburg diocese, did not know about the work of the Hippo group, but he does not know the participation of the Yekaterinburg diocese in the persecution of the musicians: denies:

-The Yekaterinburg diocese was not aware of this speech, today we learned about him after a call to us in the press service so that we would give comments on this matter. To this, neither our Orthodox activists nor the Yekaterinburg diocese have nothing to do. And all that they tried there in the forums attribute that the Orthodox people want (ban) - no, no, absolutely. We are grateful to those people who canceled this concert, but we have nothing to do with it.

Father Cyril defined his attitude to public activity and the requirements of the prohibition of concerts as follows:

- Of course, no one can ban anything to anyone, we have a free country, and we do what we want. But Satanism, and, as we found out today, their last album is called "Satanism", is death. Those who want to think about death - please, but you have to live! Life and death - they are incompatible. Orthodoxy is life, Satanism is death.

As for the Orthodox activists, some people try to seem to Orthodox activists, in fact they can simply hide behind this, and have some other grounds under them.

But the reason for the detention of musicians in Yekaterinburg was not religious disagreements. The UFMS claims to the musicians were that they entered the territory of Russia in business visas, and in order to play at concerts, it is necessary to issue a labor visa.

Earlier, touring musicians entered Russia on a “cultural” visa, but after the prosecutor’s office had claims to Madonna and Lady Gage, they began to draw up a business visa for artists. Before the incident with the members of the Hippo group, this did not cause any complaints.

Kristina Filatova said that the visas were issued at the Russian Consulate in Warsaw and that the musicians were sure that everything was done correctly:

- The visas were issued as it is possible to arrange them, it’s just that we have problems with this in our country and it is difficult to draw up visas. When the artists in Warsaw came to the Russian Consulate, indicated where they go, why they go, provided all the necessary documents, they were told: you need to make business visas. Well, they made them. If you take this moment, then you can, for example, say that the Russian consul was wrong, if you look for the extreme ones. But we are not looking for extreme ones.

The design of an entry visa to Russia can really become a problem, this is said by specialists working in the field of tourism. The procedure is quite long, complex and expensive.

“While in other countries there is a simplification of the visa regime, this process is not going on in Russia, unfortunately,” the Institute of Tourism noted.

The night from May 21 to 22, the members of the Gippo Group spent the police department. On the morning of May 22, the October Court of the city of Yekaterinburg found the musicians guilty of violating the regime of stay in the Russian Federation. Each of them was fined 2 thousand rubles and obliged to independently leave the country.

The leader of the Adam Group Nergal , answering the question of whether he is the main heretic of Poland, said:

- Listen, because in fact the heretics were Christians. Christians who dared in one way or another to disagree with the line of the Catholic Church. For example, the Huguenots that Catholics cut out, since they were not along the way with them. So in a sense I even want to belong to this caste.

However, the Hippo's speeches are protested not only in Russia, but also in the United States (in 2012 a concert in Ohio was banned), and in Poland in Poland. Catholic organizations and deputies of the parliament protested.

It even dawned on the trial after during the concert in 2007 Nergal tore the Bible into pieces. The chairman of the All -po -Polish Protection Committee from the sects Ryshar Novak, in order to stop the group’s creative activity, filed Darsky’s “Nergal” to the court of Adam Hell.

After a long trial, an acquittal was sentenced.

- I perceive the acquittal as the victory of logic and common sense over superstitions, anger and backwardness. The plaintiff Ryshar Novak , although he recognized his defeat in court, but promised not to leave this.

I will say this: no one has won with God yet, even a person like Adam Darri. He is only a grain of sand and a grain. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry of Poland became interested in the situation of the musicians of the Hippo group. Its representative Marcin Voitskhovsky stated that at first it was about the fact that the performers did not have the so -called "business visas", on the basis of which it was possible to engage in touring activities in the Russian Federation, but during the trial it turned out that there were still such visas. Thus, it is still not clear on what basis the members of the Hippo group were deported from Russia.

The musicians handed over to one of the Polish television channels a fragment of a record made by a mobile phone , which shows how the policeman orders them to leave the club.

The musicians of the Hippo Group told the Polish media that since they were torn off the tour in Russia, and in Kyiv the group could not perform due to the political situation, now they will do everything in order to perform at least in Minsk.
