The host of the program "Themes" Peter Vail: the man of the day of Radio Liberty June 19 is poet Alexander Eremenko, who became the laureate of the Boris Pasternak Prize. Alexander Eremenko was born in 1950 in Altai, graduated from a school in the city of Zorinsk, worked as a liths in the district newspaper, then a builder and a stoker. He served in the Pacific Fleet, caught fish in Kamchatka. In 1977, he moved to Moscow. He studied at the correspondence department of the Gorky Literary Institute. Member of the Moscow Club "Poetry". It has been published since 1986. Currently engaged in computer layout and design. Elena Fanailova says about the man of the day Radio Radio:
Elena Fanailova: Pasternak’s award Alexander Eremenko can be perceived either as a mockery of fate, or as "a reward, finally found a hero." Eremenko is impossible to imagine in any nomenclature clip. In addition, he has poems about Peredelkino, where Pasternak, and another sun of Russian poetry, appear objects of frank mockery: "Both day and night, like a scientist, Pasternak walks in a circle."
Alexander Eremenko is a peasant son from Altai, a sailor and a mason. The unfinished student of the Literary Institute, one of the symbols of the Russian underground of the 80s and non-certificate poetry in particular. He is the best exponent of not only her aesthetics, I quote the author, "programmed ugliness and idiocy, brought to automatism," but also not a non -prayer protest ethics. He is acutely social, where the other, more successful brothers in Peru, owed too much to him too much. "I calmly drink my cologne for not participating in the dispersal of crowds of people swallowing ozone sparkling in a buzzing microphone."
They began to print it only in perestroika times. In the mid-80s, Eremenko was elected the king of Russian unprecedented poetry, and in the 90s he became one of the most cited poets. Articles are written about him, legends go, but he stopped writing. "The king is silent" - such a phrase is necessarily found in all the latest articles about Eremenko. He is silent, because he has the right - ten years ago he already wrote what he was sick, and, alas, the country will still hurt. In the 90s, Eremenko visits Russian prisons and camps, and then carries in Russia and the USA exhibitions of works of prisoners. In 2000, he translated a poem about Shamila. He lives in the center of Moscow, in Kommunarka with a view of the patriarchal ponds, dresses in the form of the US Marine Corps, does not belong to the literary bomon. He is a biliary, uncomfortable, non -Soviet person, a consistent Buddhist, an outsider and an alcoholic. It has a completely independent mind and, most importantly, his poems are very beautiful.
