The name of the new mayor of St. Petersburg will become known in the very near future. The unpredictable predictability of the policy of Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev suggests one of the possible options for this castration: the appointment of a temporary acting Governor. So it was in 2003 between Vladimir Yakovlev and Valentina Matvienko. Then the acting became the current deputy head of the presidential administration Alexander Beglov. He was remembered by the fact that in a few months, being in this position, he signed a huge number of permits for sealing development. Sowing the governor in the chair, Valentina Matvienko then informed the indignant Petersburgers that she, by law, could not impose a ban on previous orders of the acting .. also, by the way, to put it mildly, crafty. But that is not the point.

If acting They will be appointed, it means that the issue will be resolved in December, when elections to the Legislative Assembly will be held in St. Petersburg. There is reason to believe that these elections “United Russia”, even, with the most involved administrative resource, voting by mail, attracting soldiers, patients of psychiatric hospital and migrant workers, will lose to “fair Russia”. Then one of the two, Sergey Mironov or Oksana Dmitrieva, will have the opportunity to become a new mayor. Such a political experiment, in the second city of the country, to allow the representative of the Party of Power to power, but a representative of some opposition, will be evidence of the choice made in the Kremlin. If this is allowed, then Dmitry Medvedev will “steer”. If not, then Vladimir Putin.

If acting They will not appoint, but will be appointed at once a new governor, which means “steering” will be Vladimir Putin. And the appointment, whatever he is - of the federals or local, from Smolny, will become, as Oksana Dmitrieva aptly expressed - "a spit in the face of Petersburgers."

Which, incidentally, does not detract from the deep sacred meaning of the very paradigm of the Soviet model. As the Chinese sage put it, a good ruler is the one who is not visible to the people. In those days, pioneers-like today in Pyongyang-went in line, and the chief chief was somewhere there. In heaven. And in portraits. Sometimes, however, in parades it could be seen near the Winter Palace, on the rostrum. And then he disappeared again.

Today this - unfortunately for the main boss and fortunately for us, pioneers - does not work. Other times.

You can nostalgic for those times as much as you like, opening, for example, the memorial board to the chief boss, Grigory Romanov, but we do not have new pioneers to walk, for you.
