The Russian movie operator Vadim Yusov died . He died in Moscow at the 85th year of his life.

The holder of twenty international and Russian film awards for achievements in the field of operator skills, People's Artist of Russia, laureate of state prizes, Yusov was an operator in Andrei Tarkovsky’s films “Ivanovo Childhood”, “Andrei Rublev” and “Solaris”; George Danelia - "I am walking around Moscow", "Do not grieve", "Passport"; Sergei Bondarchuk - "They fought for their homeland" and "Boris Godunov", and many other directors. For the films of Tarkovsky and Danelia, he created special methods and technical means of shooting.

In recent years, Yusov worked with Oleg Dorman (films "Setter" and "His Voice") and Andrei Proshkin ("Orange juice"). He shot the film "Kopeik" by Ivan Dykhovichny according to the script of Vladimir Sorokin.

Since 1957, Vadim Yusov has worked as a operator of the Mosfilm film studio, since 1983 he was the head of the Department of Operator Mastery of VGIK.
