Freedom statue

At the basis of a huge sculpture, past which the ships with immigrants passed in the New York Harbor, a museum is located. In it, a fragment of the sonnet of the American poetess Emma Lazarus is placed on the wall:

“Give me your tired people

All thirsty to breathe freely, abandoned in need,

From the tight shores of persecuted, poor and orphans.

So send them, homeless and exhausted, to me,

I raise my torch at the golden gate! "
