The man of the Day of Radio Liberty-the laureate of the Tsar-Selsk Prize Anton Adasinsky-will present our correspondent in St. Petersburg Mikhail Berg.

Mikhail Berg: Anton Adasinsky is a very symptomatic figure not only in Russian, but also in world culture. It represents the new one that could have arisen, perhaps, only in Russia, but in Russia did not take root, and most likely could not take root. One of the participants of the famous group of "lyceum" Vyacheslav Polunin Adasinsky at the dawn of perestroika created in St. Petersburg, then Leningrad, his unique body of the body "Tree", so that plastic, silence, circular guaranteeing of gestures and poses to express that pain of life that became inaccessible to the word. Adasinsky - "tree" is one of the evidence of changes in Russian culture, which has lost faith in the word, moreover, which has lost a support for monumentalism, a large form, when everything artificial is doubtful, but natural does not work. The "tree" of Adasinsky was not just promising, but seeing the future of culture precisely because it actually promised little - just a body abandoned by cultural culture, but living, no matter what. Ogveted, stripped like a newborn, Adasinsky with his actors personified a new birth, just new. And the fact that the "tree" as a result did not take root in his homeland, but was forced to take roots in Germany is more than characteristic. As are characterized by all those numerous and most prestigious world awards received by him since then. And the point, of course, is not only in the absence of money in Russian culture and their presence in the culture of German or French. Russia again went along the path of new monumentalism and appreciately appreciate the private and small under her do not take place. Adasinsky himself, explaining why he has students around the world, with the exception of Russia, speaks of the pollution of the traditional acting school. And it becomes clear why in Russia there is always money to build, destroy and once again build the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, but there is no means for the life of a "tree" or a tree of life.
