The Russians prefer to spend the summer in the beds of most Russians, namely 63%, last summer they did not go anywhere. According to a survey conducted by the All -Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM), 33% of the country's inhabitants explained this by the lack of money. The remaining 30% stated that they were "doing their own business."Compared to last year, the numbers have changed quite noticeably. So, in the summer of 2005, 68% of Russians did not go anywhere. 21% of them did not have money on vacation, 47% were engaged in business. Tour operators explain positive dynamics by the fact that the well -being of Russians is growing. However, they are rich, and accordingly, they can afford an organized rest, as the general director of the Solceus travel agency Irina Petrova, mainly residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg, clarified the newspaper.
“Lack of money is an important component,” says Sergey Sinitsyn, a press secretary of the Federal Agency for Tourism of Russia (Rosturism). However, there are others. “I believe that our citizens perceive the rest as a secondary thing, which should not be deposited by money and which can be sacrificed,” Sinitsyn explains. “Therefore, in the summer, Russians donate a vacation for the sake of the crop.” In fairness, it is worth noting that in most of the directions of the beach holidays popular among Russians, summer is not the best season. But Sinitsyn believes that this does not greatly affect the homebody of fellow citizens, although he admitted to the "newspaper" that he himself does not like to relax in the summer.
The most popular type of relaxation of the remaining Russians in the homeland is the cottage. 17% of the respondents said they preferred to spend a well -deserved vacation month on their hundred parts. Given that most Russians have a summer residence with gardens, this could be called a big stretch. Last year, the numbers were exactly the same.
Among those who still decided to change the situation, the most popular were Russian, as well as Crimean resorts. So, 8% of respondents said they had a vacation in the Crimea or on the Russian coast of the Black Sea. Another 3% mastered this summer “Other places in the territory of the former Soviet Union”. In 2004, the distribution was about the same, except that one percent less Russians visited the Crimea and the Russian Black Sea coast.
It is curious that this year only one percent of Russians went abroad, as well as in the past. Moreover, the rest related to traveling abroad prefers young people under the age of 25. Young people make trips abroad almost five times more often than middle or elderly people. Such a meager indicator is also explained by the lack of money from Russians. For example, according to VTsIOM, an average Russian spends no more than five thousand rubles on vacation - for any foreign resort, the money is ridiculous.
Reflecting fact - the dissatisfaction of the Russians by the resting vacation falls. So, 31% of citizens remained this year. Last year it was 54%. The reasons for the discontent from year to year do not change: they could not go where they wanted, because of the lack of money.
