For this, there is a second option: the Muscovite needs to declare his desire in the local prefecture, where he will be included in one of the projects implemented by the city authorities. True, at present, the majority of addresses where the "folk garages" will be built are kept secret. “So far, only a preliminary list has been approved,” explains Nadezhda Spiridonov, an employee of the press service of the department of urban planning policy. “For each object, you will need to get many more approvals.”

Now only seven places are finally defined, where parking lots will be built as part of the People’s Garage program. Three of them will “write” in the center of Moscow - in Vadkovsky (100 seats), Afanasyevsky (40) and Krasnoprudny (60) alleys. On General Berzarin Street, three garages with a total capacity of 250 seats will appear in the ZAO. In the Yuzao, one, but a large garage (for 277 seats) will be built in South Butovo. According to Nadezhda Spiridonova, they will all begin to work in 2007.

The costs of "folk garages" for Muscovites will not exceed the cost of construction. However, you should not count on a special "freebie". As the deputy head of the Moscow urban planning policy department Konstantin Korolevsky admitted, the cost of one place for the car has increased by 30-40%over the past year. As a result, the cost of the place in the parking lot of the cheapest - planar performance will be at least 3.5 thousand dollars. If residents want to have an underground multi -level parking, they will have to pay 15 thousand dollars.
