Many went to hospitals without an injection of antidote and a few hours after the gas was launched.

Based on these data, many victims appealed to the capital's courts with a demand to compensate them for moral damage in connection with the death of relatives. The plaintiffs were sure that the cause of the death of their relatives was GAZ Fentanil. The claims were addressed to the Moscow government, their total amount amounted to more than 60 million dollars. However, all of them were denied: the court considered the Moscow government an inappropriate defendant regarding non -pecuniary damage.
