"Our detachment is blocked"

Movladi Baysarov - in an interview with Gazeta, in connection with which Ramzan Kadyrov announced the outlawed of Movladi Baisarov? The former commander of the Highlander battalion shares his version with the observer of Gazeta Madina Shavlokhova.

- You are accused of abductions and murders of people. And you are in Moscow and give interviews.

- What kind of people and where?

- The abduction of a family from the Staropromyslovsky district and three Feesbashniki in the region of the 15th Molovzor near Grozny, where your detachment is based.

- The person whom the prosecutor's office suspects these crimes is in Chechnya itself, let them ask him. And if someone has questions for me about this, I am ready to answer them, but only in Moscow and to the employees of the military prosecutor's office.

- Why in Moscow? Are you afraid of your life?

- And not only for their own, but also those who stayed there. In Chechnya, if necessary, they can go to anything. You can fabricate the case against the objectionable in two accounts.

- Earlier it was reported that your detachment “Highlander” was blocked. Who gave such an order? What happens to the detachment now?

- Indeed, our detachment was blocked by order of the Prime Minister of the Republic. People do not let people and are not released from the base. This position lasts more than two months. After my performance at one of the domestic radio stations, Kadyrov met with my people, but after a long “conversation” with them, he stated that the conflict has been exhausted. But this is not so, people are waiting for their fate.

- How did your conflict begin?

- He goes into human relations roots. As soon as Ramzan began to gain strength, he began to get rid of the personalities known in Chechnya. So that they do not compete with him. I agree, this is a normal phenomenon. But we are the first to stand next to his father, the deceased Akhmat Haji, and walked with him, supporting in peaceful initiatives. This continued until the death of Akhmat-Haji. In 2005, our detachment, which was part of the FSB structure, was disbanded. However, Nikolai Patrushev discussed the issue of our fate with Minister Rashid Nurgaliev, and we crossed under the wing of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. An agreement was reached on the formation of a separate company of the Chechnya Ministry of Internal Affairs on the protection of the Argun TPP. However, we never started work. As soon as the large bosses parted, they began to interfere with us. At first we were not allowed to go through the medical board on the spot. We invited doctors from Moscow. Then our detachment was simply blocked, making it clear that we will not guard the thermal power station.

- But what about the agreement of the two main security officials of the country?

- Agreement? In the republic, the laws of the younger Kadyrov are in force. Everything at first glance is wonderful, everything is being built, built, but as you look, you will see that these are just the scenery for Moscow inspectors. Has anyone asked - how do you build? Where are your estimates? No. And so in everything. Ramzan knows very well that no one will ever ask him for anything. It will be expensive.
