The metropolitan authorities will not reduce the rent for housing and communal services and transport in Moscow will not be reduced. Such was the answer of the capital mayor of Yuri Luzhkov to a request from the deputy of the Moscow City Duma, the leader of the Yabloko - United Democrats faction, Sergei Mitrokhin. Since the beginning of the year, prices for utilities and supplied resources have grown significantly. In the request, the deputy, in particular, quoted the December statements of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, in which the head of government promised to minimize the consequences of the growth of tariffs for citizens. “In the conditions of lowering gas prices, gas, for the products of the metallurgical industry, for automobile and other transport, the previously made calculations must be reviewed,” the deputy request said.
“In the response to the request, Yuri Luzhkov justifies the increase in tariffs by the fact that this is allowed by the relevant orders of the Federal Service for the Tariffs of Russia,” the newspaper correspondent in the press service of Yabloko told. “We consider it inappropriate to change towards decreased tariffs for housing and communal services and transport services for the population, approved for 2009,” the mayor of Moscow concludes.
Recall that since the beginning of the year in the capital, everything has risen in price: electricity - by 27%, gas - by 25%, cold water - by 31%, to 20%for some positions increased on housing hiring and utilities. Finally, the tickets in the subway and on ground transport rose.
