Banks took up education
The increase in Russia in Russia (today there are 10 million) are practically not due to the fact that the Russians began to use them more actively. Banks do not ask whether a person needs a plastic card, but simply give it out when opening an account or at the end of the deposit. Moreover, some give out 'plastic' not disinterestedly. But banks still have not been able to accustom Russians to non -cash operations, since the safety of the operations ongoing operations is doubtful among card holders.
Who is new
The most 'fresh' card product is the Alfa-Bank Express program. The tariff for serving the card ('bravo', 'class', 'style' and 'status') depends on the minimum balance in the account. For example, with the balance in the account of 8 thousand rubles, the monthly maintenance of plastic cards of international payment systems costs 96 rubles, with the remainder of 96 thousand rubles - a fee of 272 rubles, and at 160 thousand - 800 rubles. According to the Bravo tariff plan, Visa Electron cards are issued completely free of charge, as it is designed for novice cards. However, you still have to pay-the commission for the withdrawal of cash at the ATM alpha bank is 0.6-0.8% of the amount removed.
For the convenience of Alfa-Bank Express' customers, like Citi Bank, ATMs of round-the-clock access, which accept cash to replenish the plastic card account, installed in their offices. Cash are accepted in the envelope, and even dilapidated bills are accepted by ATMs.
Another novelty of the season can be considered plastic cards denominated in the euro. Farid Shafikov, head of the Moscow Bank Sales Organization Office, explained to the newspaper: “The transfer of banks to work with plastic cards in the euro is associated with a stable course in this currency and an increase in its popularity among Russian citizens. In addition, euro -quarts holders when traveling to the EU countries save due to the lack of a commission for converting. '
True, to have a card tied to the euro is beneficial only on condition that the card issuer bank is also calculated with the payment system in the euro. In this case, you have to pay only for cashing money at an ATM: about 1% of the amount withdrawn (but not less than $ 5).
To date, cards nominated in the European currency are issued only by Alfa-Bank, Renaissance Bank, Eurotrast Bank, Raiffeisenbank, Moscow Bank, Uralsibbank, Master Bank, Guta-Bank and St. Petersburg Bank. But at the same time, banks working with the VISA payment system (Uralsibbank, Master Bank and Bank of Moscow) are calculated with their payment system in dollars. So the holders of the European certificate of these banks will still have to pay for the conversion in the European Union countries - about 0.5% of the amount.
Dear Credit City
Today we can already say that banks provide credit cards not only to VIP clients. At the same time, cans with permitted overdraft and real credit cards, the so -called 'revolver', are called 'credit cards'.
The peculiarity of overdraft cards is that if, for example, money ended on your salary card, you can take a small amount (designed specifically for you). It is necessary to return the debt within a month and with interest, otherwise the interest rate may double or triple. Moreover, it is already not small-on average for banks it is 30% per annum in rubles and 50-60% in currency.
With credit cards, everything is much simpler. 'Credit card' by definition is a plastic card on which there are no own funds of the holder, and all expenses are made at the expense of the bank.
To receive a “credit card” the bank, of course, must evaluate the creditworthiness of its future owner. Therefore, banks have developed a scoring system by which they expect whether it is possible to provide the client with a loan and how much. The client must truthfully fill out the questionnaire (the bank may check the reliability of the information provided by calling your employer). Banks do not require any guarantees, pledges and guarantors.
You can get a real credit card in the Russian Bank of Development under 16% per annum in currency or at 18% per annum in rubles, in Delta-bank-under 18% per annum in the currency, in the 'Russian standard'-at 39% per annum, in Alfa-Bank Express-under 18-26% per annum and 25-33% in rubles.
As you can see, banks provide a loan on very favorable conditions for themselves.
We calculate how really the debt of the holder of the credit card per month is really increasing. Suppose the owner of the Alfa-Bank Express credit card spent 1000 credit dollars in a month and must return 1018.3 dollars (at an average rate of 22% per annum). If he spent 30 thousand rubles (at a rate of 29% per annum), in a month his debt will increase by 725 rubles. For comparison, we calculate how much the owner of the credit card overpays from RBR at the same expenses overpays. According to the foreign exchange card, the overpayment for a month is $ 13, and for ruble - 450 rubles. It turns out that the rise in the cost of a ruble loan for a month at Alfa -Bank Express is 2.5%, and in RBR - 1.5%. However, the holder of the credit card from Alfa-Bank Express has an advantage-he does not have to repay the entire loan amount at once: every month you can return 10--20% of the amount of the debt on the date of the account.
Where are we going
The head of the business block of retail products of Autobank Farid Nasibullin told the newspaper: “Currently, the demand for credit services in Russia is growing. This is directly related to the growth of population demand for various goods and services. It should be recognized that most Russian banks are not ready for such a situation, since they are quite conservative when applying for credit cards. Those few banks that managed to find a reasonable line between a fairly operational and at the same time high -quality and full verification of the creditworthiness of the borrower find themselves. To make these services available to most potential customers, banks must focus on the most prompt consideration of customer applications for the issuance of credit cards. This will become a large extent to the creation of a credit bureau in Russia in which information will accumulate about each borrower - an individual. '
Alexander Koloshenko, director of the department for working with individuals of Raiffeisenbank, believes: “First you need to ensure the transfer of salaries to the population to a bank account. This will allow banks to increase the amount of funds raised, which they will be able to use in the future for lending to private customers. It is also important to establish a more flexible approach to the exchange of information on the return of loans to borrowers. Of course, the volume and rules of the information transmitted should be clearly formulated in the legislation and not violate the rights of the client. ”
