Run, producer, run

Hollywood professionals vote in a dollar for more profitable Hollywood sets, a world film station, loses every reason to continue to be called: now almost nothing is being removed here. The term “running producers” has long entered the local film assembly, which has recently increasingly sounds like “escaped producers”. Indeed, film crews are increasingly working in other cities of America - and not only America - primarily for financial reasons.

The thesis "Hollywood is the movie" in front of our eyes becomes a myth. In 1996, at the peak of production, 71 film was shot at the Hollywood studios, in 2008-only 21, the plans for the current year are still only five paintings.

Meanwhile, producers are well aware of where and why they are running. It has long been a common place to use the production facilities of the Prague Barrand film studio, which began with the Communists with the light hand of Milos Forman - for example, it was there that Russian director Timur Bekmambetov shot his first Hollywood film. Another Eastern European country - Bulgaria actively behaved actively: there, in the pavilions of Sofia Nu Boyana Film Studios, director Brett Ratner will shoot for Millenium Films and Lionsgate remake “Konana -Warvara” with a budget of $ 50 million. He claims that the shooting of the third part of the “Universal Soldier” will also take place here. This is understandable: to shoot in Prague and Sofia is much cheaper.

However, not all “running producers” go so far from Hollywood. Many of them do not leave the country, staying in the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both the Sun and the Clear Sky there are not worse than the California, and the conditions - and above all, financial - are much more sympathetic. In addition, where a few years ago the wind drove dry spines on the sand, and if any films were filmed, then exclusively westerns, an ultra -modern studio complex is now built and operates, not inferior to Hollywood analogues. The AlCon Entertainment studio here is shooting a new film with Denzel Washington in the title role - the post -apocalyptic western "Book of Ilaya". They say that a decisive role in choosing nature was played by the proposal of the New Mexico authorities about tax deductions and an interest-free loan (we are talking about a sum of several million dollars).

Of course, Hollywood is concerned. Of course, California does not want to miss its own - not so long ago, a strategic plan was presented with a multimillion -dollar budget to return the escaped ones. However, whether they will return is a big question. And if you still recall the recent words of the Minister of Culture of Russia Alexander Avdeev that this year in our country no Russian film will be launched in our country, the question arises: will foreign producers and directors run to us to occupy the liberated production facilities of the same Mosfilm? Moreover, at the recent premiere of Fast and 4, director Justin Lin promised to come to shoot the next series of the film franchise in Moscow.
