The total net profit of the five largest American banks in the third quarter amounted to $ 18.7 billion, which is a minimum value over four years. Investors again hope for the next decrease in the key interest rate of the US Federal Reserve at the meeting in the last days of October. However, on Friday, the former head of the US Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke in his speech made it clear that so far it was not to count on it.
As a result, the dollar again fell in price relative to the courses of other world currencies. “The meeting of the Big Seven Countries, which has passed on the weekend, did not add optimism to the market either,” says Alexander Varyushkin's portfolio manager of the Alfa Capital Criminal Code.
